'Just Do It!'
These three little words seem very simple in the process of moving forward and taking steps to achieving what we really want in life- getting healthier, finding a partner and settling down, gaining confidence, losing weight, changing job or whatever personal goal we have. 'Just Do It!' seems to be the answer- just getting on with whatever needs to be done to get what we want- going for a jog or to the gym three times a week, actively searching and socialising to find 'the one', pushing ourselves outside our comfort zone, reducing what we are eating and cutting out the 'goodies', boldly putting our CV forward for jobs which interest us . . . . and the list goes on.
Simple actions perhaps. But then again, perhaps not. If it was as easy as that we would have achieved what we desire in life. We wouldn't be struggling with motivation or commitment. We would be taking daily and regular action to reach our goals.
And we wouldn't be procrastinating either. For us to 'Just Do It!', we must be brave. We must face our fears and perhaps take risks. We must consider our beliefs about our own ability and have courage and strength to take action. We must be determined and excited about our vision for a changed life. We must have conviction and support. We mustn't worry about anything or feel guilty for concentrating on ourselves. Nor must we fear failure.
