About me

Hi I’m Sue,

I work with professional women, mostly in their 40’s and 50’s who would like to see their dreams and ambitions come to life. If that’s you I'd love to work with you because I've been there and I'm proof that things can change.

What’s brought you here?

Reach out to me if you want to explore:

  • How to fix that sense of hopelessness that ruins every working day.
  • What needs to change when you find yourself (like I was some years ago) sitting at your desk fighting back tears
  • Why you've lost your self-belief. You don't believe you are good at your job and have lost your self-confidence.
  • When you know it's time you found something more fulfilling.

Toxic work situations, and unfortunate events such as redundancy, failure to reach promotion, new managers etc. can have a big impact on how we feel at work. Sometimes it's simply a gradual dawning that you are in the wrong place, that you are simply not happy.

If you look ahead and can't honestly imagine living another 15+ years with the same stress, anxiety, exhaustion, lack of fulfilment or any of the other hard things you are experiencing then I ask you to put your trust in me. I've been there and I can definitely help you.

How coaching can help

Through coaching you will start to believe it's not you at fault and that you hold the power. You will enjoy feeling capable and confident - which you are underneath this stress.

I will…

  • Share techniques and ways you can handle stress differently at work so it doesn't negatively affect you.
  • Teach you new skills to make work easier, handling meetings, leading teams etc.
  • Replace your negative self-beliefs with positive ones so you can get a healthy work-life balance and enjoy work again.

What is the best outcome for you?

Maybe you'll end up retraining, kick-starting your career, or starting your own business. who knows, but whatever the answer - you'll do it with a new sense of confidence and a zest for your new working life. I promise it is all possible. I'd love to help you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm 62 and I came to coaching later in life. I have 20+ years experience in a variety of roles in global IT projects. My roles included Project management, designing and delivering training, business analysis and other roles. My work with teams included a huge amount of coaching and mentoring -  I was luck to work with lots of wonderful people around the globe. After a series of stressful projects I realised I needed to change something before my health was affected.

I found life coaching and it really changed my life.  I have since qualified as a coach in multiple areas and an NLP Practitioner. I am now also qualifying as a hypnotherapist.

My own experience with work related stress and finding my strengths and confidence in my 50s has given me a passion to help anyone in the same situation.

I am dedicated to delivering quality coaching. Here are my qualifications and accreditations:

  • Accredited Practitioner Coach with the IAPC&M
  • LCH Coaching Dip - Achievement Specialists
  • NLP Practitioner - NLP Academy
  • Accredited NLP Practitioner - ABNLP
  • Member of Complementary Medicine Association

Member organisations

International Authority for Professional Coaching & Mentoring (IAPC&M)

The IAPC&M is an independent not-for-profit organisation, run by coaches and mentors for the benefit of coaches, mentors and training providers around the world.

Other areas of coaching I deal with

  • Workplace confidence coaching

My story

I've been where you are now. I worked in the corporate IT project environment for over 20 years. I took stock of my life in my 50s and as a result, retrained to be a coach and started my own business.

Before that I dreaded every working day, I was stressed, depressed, and desperate. I know (from the inside) what it takes to change your mindset and create a fulfilling life. And truly, it's not easy alone. I'd love to support you, because it sure is worth the effort!

I found my stress levels spiralling out of control in my early 50s - as the menopause really kicked in. It was actually a gift (in disguise at the time!). It forced me to stand back, get help, and rebuild my life so I could live it looking forward to the next 15+ years of my working life.

Now I work as a self-employed coach both online and face-to-face. I've never been happier. So take heart. It is possible, that things can and do change. And I've helped so many women, in similar situations, and I'd love to help you.

My clients and case studies

My clients want to move away from their existing job because they have had enough of feeling anxious, stressed, overworked, undervalued, and often underpaid. Here are a couple of real-life case studies.

Case study 1 - Stress
Amanda was working as a project manager in a highly stressful role. She was under enormous pressure to push her team to meet ever tighter deadlines. Employee well-being was not on this company's agenda. She almost made herself ill trying to protect her team. By working on her limiting self-beliefs she accepted that she was not single-handedly responsible for the lives of her team. Making sure to support her team as much as possible during the transition - she has since left that job and started her own company. She's living life according to her values now.

Case Study 2 - Change of direction
Joanna was at a crossroads. In her early 50s, she had moved to a new location and needed to find a new job. The thought of finding a similar role to her previous ones left her cold.  We worked on her limiting self-beliefs (they always need an airing) and did some coaching exercises that helped her really identify what work would inspire and excite her, and respect other priorities such as a healthy work/life balance.  After 4 sessions she had a new job, was living her life according to her values, and hasn't looked back.

The starting point with all my clients is to explore what is holding them back (those limiting self-beliefs again!)  We also find out what is working and what isn't working in your life. I'll use a range of coaching, NLP, and hypnotherapy tools to help you figure out what is important to you.

Together we'll get you clarity, boost your confidence, and tap into your motivation.
