About me
I offer online coaching, working primarily with neurodivergent individuals - including through Access to Work.
How I can help:
Whether you've recently received a diagnosis of autism or ADHD (including self-identified), are considering going for an assessment or have had your diagnosis for a while, it can be challenging to understand and manage some of the frustrations and challenges that come with being neurodivergent.
This is where I can help. You might want support to identify strategies that work for you, to figure out your strengths, to have some accountability to help you stay organised and on track, or a space to work through the impact of realising that your brain works differently and what this means for who you are and how your life has been up until now.
I draw on my own personal and professional experience to provide personalised support to adolescents, young adults and adults who are neurodivergent (and support with the mental health challenges that can sometimes go along with that).
I went through the diagnostic pathway for autism myself in 2017 - I was teaching autistic students at the time and something just clicked and things suddenly made sense (and my students were saying I was one of them). Since then, I've learnt more about autism, ADHD and neurodivergence and moved in to coaching, counselling and mentoring gaining experience and qualifications in each area.
My Approach:
I use a strength-based approach focused on your strengths, abilities and interests. Although being neurodivergent can be challenging, not least because society does not fully understand nor accommodate different ways of thinking and being, focusing solely on the challenges can feel limiting. My aim is to support you to recognise and embrace your strengths and to find ways to manage your challenges, those that you identify as wanting to focus on, not those that others may say you should focus on.
Coaching offers a space to explore, to increase self-awareness and find your own solutions, to develop skills and to change unhelpful attitudes and beliefs. Coaching can empower you to make decisions, boost your self-esteem and improve your motivation and wellbeing. My coaching is focused on supporting neurodivergent individuals. You are the expert on you. I am here to walk alongside you and support you during our coaching journey.
