About me

One of the most pressing needs my clients are facing right now is the desire to feel valued, both externally and internally. My role is to guide them, both personally and professionally, in recognizing their worth and overcoming struggles with self-esteem, self-worth, and confidence. I achieve this by delving into what truly brings them happiness and fulfillment, understanding their strengths and core values, and assisting them in setting and achieving meaningful goals. A well-thought-out plan is always at the heart of their journey to success.

Amidst the challenges brought about by the pandemic, there's an opportunity for personal growth. Despite the losses and uncertainties, this period can and has served as a catalyst for self-improvement. By investing in ourselves now, envisioning a brighter future becomes more tangible.

As a career coach, I specialize in supporting individuals through various career transitions, addressing workplace challenges such as confidence, resilience, anxiety, and achieving a healthy work-life balance. Located in Balham, while my website offers insights into my practice, many of my clients come to me through referrals from satisfied past and present clients.

My personal connection with parents of children with special educational needs (SEN) stems from my own journey as a parent of a child on the spectrum. This shared experience fosters a deep understanding and empathy for the challenges these families face.

Driven by a strengths-oriented approach, I empower my clients to recognize opportunities for growth, encouraging them to take incremental steps towards realizing their full potential and the fulfilling life they deserve.

What my Clients are saying!

Nadia BALHAM  recommends Orla Cahill Transformational Coach and Expert CV Writer.

Over lunch one day I complained to Orla that I felt stuck in a rut with my freelance career. I'd been working steadily but doing the same bits and pieces for years and was ready for a new challenge, but was too tired/lazy/nervous to actually do anything about it.
She gave me the kick up the **** I needed to freshen up my CV, finally finish my website (after three years!) and to simply make a few calls. It worked. I am spending most of this summer doing the job of my dreams in Ibiza!
Thank you Orla, you absolute wonder woman you, for being the most relentlessly positive person I know.

I’ve been on a 9-year maternity leave… My CV was older than my child. I didn’t want to go back to what I was doing before. I had no clue what I’m looking for. I was embarrassed about the fact I cannot figure out all of the above just by myself. I guess that was actually the reason I stayed out of work for so long. Here is a little advise – if you’re like me don’t think twice and accept the fact there is a specialist in this world for every task. Orla can help you identify your destination and help you get on track to reach that final station of your journey. You will learn a lot about yourself during the sessions and tasks which I’ve found very interesting. Bonus – she is a very nice person and she does care! PS – I am working full time. Before I met Orla, I didn’t even know such a position existed.

How can I find the words to do justice to working with Orla. It's been totally life-changing. I've been to many therapists /life coach's over the years, and Orla has helped me in 8 sessions more than anyone before. She has this amazing ability to support you gently while challenging you out of your comfort zone. It's like having a non-judgemental mum on the sideline as your cheerleader.

I've always wanted to pursue a career in music, and everyone one else has said you've left that to late but not Orla she has me started on my journey. I don't know where it could end up, but I'm going to enjoy the ride. That's the main thing for me right now.

Orla has helped me to see the positive aspects of the life I have, by helping me achieve a better life-work balance.

I can recommend her also for confidence coaching, which for me was a huge part of overcoming my fears. She also doesn't encourage you to keep buying more sessions she knows when her work is done while other therapists will keep you going for years!!! I can't recommend Orla more highly. If you're stuck in a rut and on the fence about going for sessions just book one I guarantee you won't regret it.

It's time for you to start living the life you deserve and getting help for this is the best way forward.

Thank you Orla so much for all your kind words and help.

I'm also happy to email or talk to anyone to give a spoken reference.
