Neil Robinson CPCC - Career and Confidence Coach

About me

What Type of Coaching Do I Offer

I'm a Career Coach and i move people to a place where they have the confidence to take those first seemingly unreachable steps on the road to their ultimate goal.

My corporate business experience comes from the 30 years I've spent in the IT industry, both public and private sector, and while that knowledge helps me understand certain situations better it doesn't make me a better Coach.  What makes me a great coach is that I can see when someone is hiding......saying one thing but meaning another.  Coaching is about calling that out....naming the Devil on your shoulder who's telling you that it can't be done, that it will be too hard and dwarfing the little Angel on your other shoulder telling you that you can do it.  I'll put you in constant contact with your Angel and make them so big and strong that the Devil won't stand a chance.

I coach people:

Who have been searching for work for a while and feeling demoralized.

Who have had a prolonged absence from the working environment; on maternity leave, long term illness, caring for others or staying at home while the children have grown up.

Who want to start planning for that career move to the next level, maybe have interviews or promotion boards coming up, who are fed up of seeing other people promoted in front of them or moving into roles that they know they’re better suited to.

Who run their own business, may need a kick start, may want to grow to a different level, to ensure sustainability, or to rescue their struggling business.

Who are not sure they’re in the right field at all but don't know how to find out what is right for them or where to start. Who not only want to make that first step but want to sustain it for the long term, who want to use Coaching as a springboard to a much more fulfilling life.

I also coach Entrepreneurs.  Some are at the start of their journey, some have faltered, some just need to get back to the root of their beliefs, to the things that got them started.

Coaching is all about caring for yourself, nurturing yourself, investing in your future.  Your personal and professional life are inextricably linked; what happens in one area has a material impact on the other and you cannot separate the two, however much you'd like to. We’ll look at all aspects of your life and give you the power, the strength and the tools to make the changes you're striving to make, and more importantly as I've already said - to sustain them for the long term.

Don’t keep putting it off.  If you keep thinking that you’ll get round to it in a few days, when Christmas is over, once you’ve been on holiday, once you’ve been to that wedding or your son/daughters school play or when their exams are finished - another year has passed. Don’t sit there thinking that could have been me if I’d made changes earlier. Make today the first day of the new you and allow me to help you make your first step.  Once you’ve made that first step you won’t be satisfied with it and your hunger will ensure you strive for more.

How Many Sessions Will You Need?

That will vary from person to person but coaching relationships are in the main short term and focused on specific problems.  We may come to a natural end after a few weeks or months or you may want and need longer.  You may come back for one or two sessions each time you have a different issue - it really is different for everyone and you'll know what works for you.

Session Types

I coach people from all walks of life and from all parts of the world so it doesn't matter if you're 5 miles away or 5000.

I offer face to face, telephone and online coaching (Skype audio/video, WhatsApp, FaceTime).  Each person will have a different preference and the one most appropriate for you is the one that makes you feel comfortable and safe.  Your particular type of coaching will be mutually agreed but each one works just as well as another.  Coaching over the phone means using a different set of senses to those used face to face, and can be very effective where there's a distance involved between coach and client or where face to face isn't preferable on religious or personal grounds.
