About me

Are you highly accomplished? Are you feeling ready to make some changes in your life and are you constantly looking to improve and stretch yourself?  Are you enthusiastic, full of ideas and have big dreams?  Do you want to be the best that you can?

Maybe despite your successes, you a little scared of where all this may be taking you.  Maybe you have high expectations of yourself and worry that your best isn’t good enough.  Perhaps there is a difficult conversation to be had and tricky decisions to be made in order for you to move forward, and your fears about this are holding you back.   Maybe you are operating at such high speed in one area that other areas of your life aren’t getting the attention they deserve, or perhaps you are at risk of burning out.

If this sounds like you, then let’s have a conversation.  You can message me for a free initial consultation and we can take it from there.

As a successful entrepreneur and award-winning businesswoman, I know a lot about striving for success.  I started my career working for Government Ministers in Westminster, before moving into PR and Marketing, working in television and radio.  But I had an itch to be an entrepreneur and that took me on a journey to set up a business, working with my husband and growing it into a large and award-winning tourism company.  I went on to win the East of England Businesswoman of the Year Award.  Whilst success came to me, I struggled for work-life balance and eventually drove myself so hard that I reached burnout.  That wake up call taught me many lessons, and I learnt to meditate, took up yoga, and brought balance to my life.  I took my life to a much happier place.

Now I help people to achieve success whilst at the same time maintaining balance in other areas of their lives.

Areas that I have successfully worked with include:

Improve performance. Maybe you are already enjoying success in your work life and know you have more potential but are conscious that something inside is holding you back. It could be imposter syndrome, a lack of confidence in yourself, low self esteem, a fear of public speaking, or not feeling good enough for promotion. These beliefs are common blocks to improved performance.

Get out of a rut and make big changes. Perhaps you feel stuck and unfulfilled, and are considering bold changes. Change can feel both exciting and frankly terrifying at the same time. I certainly felt this way when I left a successful career to set up an award-winning business! It means leaving the safety of your comfort zone and brings with it uncertainty and risk alongside the potential for big life rewards. My coaching has helped my clients to gain clarity on whether or not to make a big life change and to have confidence and commitment to take action on their chosen path.

Increase self-confidence and self-compassion. I help my clients to become more aware of and deal with negative self-talk or feelings of not being good enough. It’s surprising how many people have issues with this, including those who look confident on the outside.

Overcome procrastination. You may already have clear goals but are struggling to start work towards them. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed with other work that has to be done first, have a fear of failure, are a perfectionist (“It has to be be perfect otherwise it’s not worth starting”), feel anxious about what might go wrong, or are worried about what other people may say. I explore the root causes of each client’s procrastination so we can together create a tailored action plan to help overcome it.

Face a challenging situation that is causing stress or anxiety.  You may be dealing with something difficult right now and be uncertain of how best to resolve it. Perhaps there is a difficult conversation to be had, or a choice to be made that isn’t clear-cut and will need careful thought and consideration.

Balance performance and wellbeing. As someone who once experienced burnout, I know first hand the importance of self care and balance. So often we don’t see self care as a priority and yet good self care could be the foundation to achieving your goals.

Meaningful change comes in many shapes and sizes, it doesn’t necessarily have to be big and transformational. There is no pressure on you to make big changes - we may explore all your options and then you may decide to stay right where you are now, but with a new certainty and happiness that this is the right choice for you and is in alignment with your values.

I offer a free 45 minute introductory session by Skype, Facetime or phone so that we can both see if coaching is going to be helpful to you.

In this session we’ll:

  • Find out where you currently are in your life
  • Explore what you might like to work on
  • Gain a better understanding of where you’d like your life to be and what your values are
  • Consider any obstacles, barriers, beliefs and thoughts that are holding you back from making changes
  • Give you a opportunity to ask questions and find out more about my coaching

I offer a free and no obligation 45 minute introductory session. This is so that we can both see if coaching is the right path for you and will help deliver the results that you would like to see in your life.

Sessions usually take place on Skype or Facetime. This gives you the freedom to be at home somewhere quiet with a cup of tea, or, if you are at work, to find a quiet meeting room where you won't be disturbed. It also means you have no travel time, so you can more easily fit it into your day.

For transformational change on an issue, I recommend a package of six sessions, once a fortnight over three months, but I am flexible if you'd prefer to try something different:

1 session: £85

4 sessions: £299 (just under £75 a session)

6 sessions: £420 (£70 a session)

(All of the above are payable on the day of the first session)

Further information

“Naomi is a life coach who does more than just “talk”. She listens, inspires and mobilises her clients into action in a somehow gentle yet incredibly powerful way.” VA

"I’d managed to get myself stuck in a rut, through coaching sessions with Naomi I’ve managed to increase my confidence in my decision making again. Naomi is an extremely good listener and with the combination of this and her suggestions I’ve managed to recalibrate my thoughts and worries and move forward. I’d highly recommend using Naomi." E.N.

"Naomi is understanding, kind and patient. She had many suggestions on how to improve my situation. Fully recommended." M.K.

"Sessions with Naomi increased my confidence and were invaluable in helping to prep for meetings on contentious subjects in a safe and fun environment!" S.S.

“I was incredibly nervous before my session, knowing I would have to speak and go deep into my dreams (which can sometimes feel uncomfortable “thinking big”). Naomi instantly put me at ease, and I quickly realised that what seemed like unrealistic and daring goals are actually absolutely possible. Naomi is practical, and this fused with thinking big brings the “hows”, “whens” and “whys”.

“Naomi’s practical approach along with the homework has brought me much closer to implement action steps for my dreams and goals. She also helped me sift through the confusion of ideas and possibilities that, although possible, had been slowing me down and holding me back from achieving the big stuff.

“Naomi doesn’t beat around the bush. She listens. Whilst she doesn’t make decisions for you; she helps you navigate the jumble and confusion and march straight on with what does serve you. Naomi is inspiring and will set off a spark within you to move forward in a very realistic and practical way.” VA

"I had the pleasure of working with Naomi Tarry via the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce when she was introduced to me as a business mentor. It was so good to have a confidante, a successful entrepreneur, who made me feel completely at ease. I could discuss a variety of business objectives and ideas, which I hadn’t had a chance to implement. However, I found, being able to talk these through with someone with extensive business expertise, enabled me to expand my ideas, prioritise the most important areas for business growth and therefore reach certain goals. Thanks to Naomi, her mentoring skills have helped me take my business to the next level." S.W.

“Naomi is a compassionate, intuitive and inspirational coach who through her thought provoking targeted questions and vast life experience has helped me to clarify my thoughts on my career transition and find practical steps to move me towards my goals, dreams and life purpose. Her personal experience from so many industries, like business and media, makes her also a caring and strategic mentor. Naomi is an incredibly talented, natural coach that helps you bring your vision to life - and I cannot recommend her enough.” VA
