About me

Laura Howes is a specialist coach, trainer, and speaker with a deep expertise in supporting neurodivergent and queer individuals to thrive.

Holding a Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring, alongside qualifications in Learning and Development (Levels 3 & 4, specialising in individual and group learning) and Counselling Skills (Level 2), Laura brings a robust, evidence-based approach to her coaching practice.

With a strong foundation in neurodiversity-affirming coaching, Laura helps individuals build self-advocacy skills, develop strategies that align with their neurotype, and create environments where they can flourish. They have a deep understanding of the unique challenges neuro-minorities face, including demand avoidance, executive function difficulties, motivation fluctuations, and future visualisation struggles. Their approach is client-led, strengths-based, and empowering, ensuring that every session is tailored to the individual’s needs, pace, and lived experience. Laura is a trauma informed coaching practitioner.

As an LGBTQIA+ advocate and speaker, Laura is deeply committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, having co-chaired an employee network for the largest conservation charity in Europe. They integrate intersectional, feminist, and neurodiversity-affirming principles into all aspects of their work, ensuring their coaching is inclusive, affirming, and psychologically safe for individuals navigating neurodivergence and queer identity.

Beyond their professional expertise, Laura is a musician, environmental activist, and educator. They lead group drumming workshops at events and festivals and plays drums in a feminist rock band. Passionate about nature conservation, having volunteered with wildlife charities and actively campaign for environmental causes.

As a single parent, Laura understands the demands of balancing multiple roles and responsibilities while staying true to one’s identity and values. They bring this practical, compassionate, and solution-focused perspective into their coaching, supporting others in navigating both personal and professional challenges.

Laura offers one-to-one coaching, group workshops, and consultancy for organisations looking to create neuro-inclusive and LGBTQIA+ affirming environments.
