About me
If confidence has felt out of reach, it is not because you are broken or weak. Trauma changes how the nervous system learns safety. When the body has learned to stay alert, guarded, or shut down, confidence does not grow through positive thinking or forcing yourself to be brave. It grows through safety.
As a Somatic Trauma Informed Life Coach, I work with the body as well as the mind. Trauma lives in the nervous system, not just in memories or thoughts. This is why talk alone often feels like it helps for a moment but does not create lasting change.
Somatic work gently supports your nervous system to come out of survival and into regulation. From this place, confidence becomes something you feel rather than something you perform. You begin to trust your signals, your boundaries, and your choices. You feel steadier in your body and clearer in yourself.
This work is not about reliving the past. It is about learning how to feel safe in the present. When safety increases, confidence follows naturally. You stop second guessing yourself. You stop shrinking. You start responding to life instead of bracing against it.
If you are ready to build confidence that is rooted in safety rather than pressure, and strength that does not cost you your wellbeing, somatic trauma informed coaching offers a compassionate and powerful way forward.
You do not need fixing. Your nervous system needs support.

I have been a client of Jo’s and have been working on some residual feelings of worthlessness, anger, humiliation, hopelessness still stored in my body using the Brainspotting technique.
I previously addressed those feeling with success with somatic work but there were residual feelings stored in my body and wanted to move forward. I was a little sceptical at the beginning of Brainspotting, since I had never experienced before. During the first session feelings and images connected with the arising of those feelings came to my mind one after the other, I cried a lot. I am very pleased for the result, after the sessions I am constantly present to myself and live in the moment, I am present to my breathing and my body. I have felt feelings that were very buried within me such as guilt for being happy and for wanting the best for me and getting it.
It feels like I have reached the goal I so much wanted, feel safe while feeling uncomfortable feelings which have disappeared after the sessions to give space to more awareness. I am extremely grateful to Jo for her kindness, presence and professionalism. Thank you
