About me

I work with phenomenal people who over time have had their spark, self confidence and passion eroded away. Making every day a struggle. Often this is caused by a past experience with a bullying boss, a toxic team or something else in your life causing you to believe that you are not good enough.

I believe when we lose our confidence or start to doubt our abilities it’s because we're living a life far away from our natural values and talents, in a world of "shoulds" - trying to be or do what we think the world expects of us.

My coaching approach is in layers, a bit like an iceberg. We start with the bits you can see and then move deeper.

Level 1: Fight the fires - Getting out of overwhelm

You may be so overwhelmed that the thought of taking anything else on feels ludicrous. This is the stage where we work together to identify everything going on in your brain and start shutting things down.

Level 2: Building the scaffolding - Create headspace to think about what you really want in your life

The next stage is to put scaffolding in place to prevent getting to that place of overwhelm in the future. You’ll build habits, create routines and work on positive behaviours to start bringing ease and simplicity into your life. You keep all the good stuff that brings joy, and automate the rest.

Level 3: Uncovering your stories - Figuring out what’s getting in your way

The way you talk to yourself, how you see situations and what you do day to day is massively influenced by the way you learnt to cope when you were young, but that doesn’t mean it is right. So in level 3 we shift focus to your thoughts, beliefs and stories. Including those around not being good enough, or feeling flawed, and look to exchange them with better ones for your journey.

Level 4: Designing your life - Getting clear on what you want and going after it

After understanding how you have been seeing the world, and creating alternatives, the next part is designing your life - the fun stuff! We start with understanding where you are right now. And then move on to what, who, how and where you want to be. What you will accept (creating boundaries), how you can play to your strengths in work (creating ease & flow) and overall being the designer of your life - rather than a passenger in someone else’s car.

Other areas of coaching I deal with

ADHD Coaching

I offer ADHD Coaching for anyone who diagnosed with or suspects they have ADHD, and those with ADHDers in their life who they’d like to support.

What is ADHD Coaching?

ADHD Coaching focuses on the impact your ADHD symptoms have on your day to day life.

This could be executive function challenges (such as planning, organisation, time management), feelings of overwhelm or burnout or the impact of ADHD on your self esteem and confidence & identity (especially when your ADHD is diagnosed in later life).

How is ADHD Coaching Structured?

  • When working with ADHD clients we often start our coaching with creating structure to one or more areas of their life, which helps free up head space to start thinking about what they really want.
  • The work is done in the Coaching sessions, not as homework. So if our focus is a new morning routine, we’ll do that together, to help set you up for success straight away.
  • Access to Work Funding - I accept Access to Work funding for work focused ADHD Coaching for your job or business, which we can tailor based on your funding granted.

For ADHD Coaching enquiries, please book a discovery call using my website link, or contact me via phone or email.

Feedback from my clients:

"I chose to work with Helen primarily because she also has ADHD so can understand my experience and challenges precisely. But it’s more than that, I strongly believe that coaching, like many other disciplines, is about the connection between coach and coachee. From the first call with Helen, it was clear she ‘got me’ and we just clicked. I’ve never looked back since. I continue to work with Helen because she challenges me. Sometimes coaches just give you the answer but Helen always finds the right question or words to get me to figure the solutions myself." Matt J, Isleworth.

"Helen has really helped me build up my confidence and I couldn't recommend her enough. I started working with Helen when I was going through a particularly challenging situation at work, which had left me really questioning myself and my confidence at an all-time low. Helen makes sure that everything is tailored to you, she is super friendly - it almost feels likes you're talking to a great friend, so if you're looking for a boost please do reach out to Helen." Vicky J, Cardiff.

"I would wholeheartedly recommend speaking to Helen if you are experiencing any kind of uncertainty and are struggling to find your own way forward." Sally N, Staines

"I have learnt more about myself in a few short sessions than I ever thought possible." Tiffany B, Guildford

"Sessions with Helen really help clear my mind and allow me to reach my goals. Her style puts me at ease straight away and she keeps our sessions on track and focussed." Helen K, London

"Being able to discuss and brainstorm ideas and priorities with Helen has made such an impact on my day to day life, I no longer have that regular feeling of being overwhelmed. Almost a year on and I still use them on a daily basis." Sally B, Kingston

"Helen was amazingly helpful in getting me back on track and re-organised after a tricky year when I was struggling to stay focused. At every stage, Helen had a suite of tools and techniques to hand for tackling challenges in a systematic and consistent way." Adam L, Richmond

"From only few sessions, there were incredible realisations that are now helping me evolve more, and get the confidence that I really need to move forward." Cristina G, London
