Overthinking, Worry, People-Pleasing? You Can Feel Calmer

About me

Hi, I’m Denise. I’m experienced, qualified and knowledgeable, but what really matters is whether I can help you.

You might look like you’re coping…
but inside your mind won’t switch off.

You replay conversations.
Worry about getting it wrong.
Jump to worst-case scenarios.
And try so hard not to upset or let anyone down… that you’ve lost trust in your own decisions.

You may have been knocked by past experiences, and now find yourself holding back, second-guessing, or feeling “not quite yourself”.

This is the space I work in.

I support people who feel stuck in their own head to understand what’s driving these patterns and more importantly, how to change them.

It isn’t just about mindset.

When your system feels under pressure, overthinking, anxiety and self-doubt aren’t weaknesses. They’re patterns your mind and body have learned to keep you safe.

Many people come to me after trying other approaches that helped them understand things, but didn’t fully shift how they feel or respond.

That’s where this work is different.

We don’t just talk about what’s happening.
We work with your patterns as they show up, in real time.

So you can:

feel calmer and more in control
think more clearly
trust yourself again
respond differently in situations that currently trigger anxiety or self-doubt

My approach is warm, down-to-earth and non-judgemental, grounded in both professional expertise and real-life experience of navigating difficult change.

If this feels like what you’ve been looking for, I offer a free, informal phone conversation so you can get a sense of whether I am the right coach for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I bring over 25 years of experience in psychological coaching, training and wellbeing. Alongside professional expertise, I also draw on lived experience. I understand what it’s like to navigate loss, rebuild, and keep going while carrying more than most people see.

This work isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you feel calmer in your body, clearer in your mind, and more confident in your choices.

Qualifications include:

MSc in Coaching Psychology – University of East London
EMCC Accredited Senior Practitioner
NLP Trainer (trained by John Grinder)
Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator
Grief Educator
Senior Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist

The really important thing is that my approach focuses on helping you notice and shift your patterns in real time, so change actually happens, not just understanding.
