About me
Flipping the switch: one-to-one weight loss and health coaching for executives.
Most weight loss and health advice is soft. Meal plans, encouragement, accountability that disappears when life gets busy. None of it touches the actual problem.
How I work
I ask the difficult questions. I cut through the reasons and the stories, find out what's really going on, and deal with it. Then I hold people responsible for what they say they'll do.
It's not always comfortable. That's why it works.
Who I work with
Mostly senior executives and business owners over 40. They run things well and wouldn't tolerate one part of their business drifting for years. Their health is usually the exception, and there's no shortage of reasons for it. Travel, client dinners, no time.
This isn't really about losing weight. It's about taking back control of the one area of life that's been allowed to run itself. After 40, that matters more than almost anything else.
Background
I started in sport psychology and high performance, then lectured in sport and exercise psychology at the University of Liverpool. Since then I've worked as a motivation and behaviour change coach in cardiac rehab and GP referral programmes, coached business owners to drive performance, trained more than 3,000 health and fitness professionals in over 30 countries, built a studio and written two books: The Biology of Weight Loss and The Psychology of Weight Loss.
Decades of learning what actually makes people change, as opposed to what they say will.

Seven questions worth answering honestly
1. What is the struggle with your weight, health and fitness costing you right now? Physically, mentally, at work, at home, and to the people around you.
2. If it got three times worse, then ten times worse over time, what's the real worry?
3. If you took back control of this one area of your life, what would be different?
4. And if it went far better than you expected, what specifically would feel great?
5. What would need to stop? What would you need to start doing, and keep doing?
6. Do you have a clear, definite strategy that will get you there? If not, that's the missing piece.
7. Here's the uncomfortable part. The dinner, the drink, the evening on the sofa, not having to think about it: none of that is weakness. It's highly motivated behaviour, and that payoff is why nothing has changed. The price of fixing this is dealing with what currently feels comfortable.
Are you ready to pay it?
If the answer is yes, book a call.
