About me
Hello,
My name is Anna and I am a Life Coach and Philosophy Teacher based in Cambridge, UK.
I practice philosophical life coaching. I hold an MA in Philosophy and an AC-accredited qualification for Life Coaches, as well as multiple other relevant qualifications related to coaching, wellbeing, mental health and counselling skills. I've included the list below for you.
I work successfully around multiple issues related to relationships, self-discovery and self-care, but I also specialise in neurodiversity coaching.
My main interests oscillate around Philosophy, Psychology and Neuroscience, but I am also highly passionate about literature, art and a healthy lifestyle. I am a trustworthy and empathetic person, both in my private and professional life, since the integrity and the values I stand for play an important part in my life.
In my free time, I love watching European cinema, walking my rescued dog Patron and writing poetry.
The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes. Marcel Proust
Philosophy means 'the love of wisdom', and is not merely an academic discipline, but in its beginnings, it meant the art of living well. Coach, on the other hand, according to the International Coach Federation: ' (...) helps the client to achieve their personal best and to produce the results they want in their personal and professional lives.' Thus, emphasising this practical aspect of applied philosophy, I offer you consultations in this area.
Therefore, through philosophical tools, such as analytical and logical thinking skills, we can look at the problem from different perspectives. In my work, I use the Socratic questioning method, thanks to which my clients have the opportunity to find the resources within themselves in order to take actions aimed at achieving the set goals. I also use philosophical theories, especially Stoicism, thanks to which we look at what and how we can influence, and what, in turn, should be let go, as it is beyond our control.
Being a member of Cambridge Triratna Buddhist Centre gives me precious insights into Eastern Philosophy. Hence, one of my favourite work methods is mindfulness training, which allows us to immerse ourselves in the here and now to cope better with the overstimulation and challenges of the rapidly changing modern world.
My strengths are constant improvement of the quality of my services, high professional ethics, cognitive openness and a sincere desire to help. I am deeply convinced that, although life wisdom leads to self-knowledge, genuine conversation - an authentic relationship with another person (including a professional) can have an invaluably positive impact on the human psyche.
I can support you if:
- You feel that you are going through difficulties that you would call an existential crisis (so-called 'life crisis', e.g. related to change, loss, and adaptation difficulties
