About me
I'm Emma, an ADHD coach and psychotherapeutic counsellor in Tetsworth, near Thame.
You might be doing well on the outside and exhausted on the inside. Maybe you've read every ADHD tip going and still feel stuck in your career or your life.
I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, so I know how much it helps to finally understand why things have felt so hard. Nothing about you is broken. The way you've coped so far makes sense, and that's where we start.
How I work
I combine coaching and counselling, so we can work with the emotions behind what's happening as well as the practical side. I don't follow a fixed programme. We talk, you lead, and I learn how you think. That's how we find strategies that fit how your brain actually works.
There's no homework, so there's nothing to fail. Progress comes from our work together and from noticing the small wins.
What I help with
- ADHD and neurodiversity: Understand how your brain works, make sense of a late diagnosis and find strategies that fit you.
- Career: Work stress, changing direction and asking for the adjustments you need.
- Confidence and self-esteem: Rebuild your confidence after years of feeling like you're getting it wrong.
- Personal development: Work out what you want next and take steps you'll actually stick with.
- Mentoring: For professionals who want guidance from someone who runs a business with ADHD.
- Business coaching: Plans and systems for neurodivergent business owners that you'll actually use.
- Burnout and stress: Rebuild your energy and learn to spot the early signs.
Addiction and impulsive or compulsive behaviour: Using my Impulse Chain™ framework to understand the pattern and change it.
Access to Work can sometimes fund your coaching. Book a free 30-minute discovery call to talk about what's going on and whether I'm the right fit for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
My core qualification is a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice. I also hold advanced diplomas in counselling, life coaching, business coaching, addiction therapy and neurodiversity support.
Further training includes Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), ADHD clinical services, drug and alcohol counselling, therapeutic care farming and walking therapy. I'm also trained in safeguarding and workplace first aid.
I've run my own private practice for several years and now lead Empowered Coaching and Consultancy. I'm a Business Advisor and mentor with Enterprise Oxfordshire. I train other therapists in supporting neurodivergent clients and deliver neurodiversity training for the prison service and the engineering sector. I also write for the NCPS magazine and am the author of Feel It To Free It and START. GROW. LEAD.

Other areas of coaching I deal with
I work with neurodivergent adults, students and business owners. I also support parents and partners who want to understand a neurodivergent family member. For organisations, I coach staff, train managers and teach other therapists how to support neurodivergent clients. Everything I offer is shaped around how your brain actually works.
- ADHD and neurodiversity: Support for ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other neurodivergent profiles. I help you and your family understand your needs and find ways of living and working that fit.
- Emotional regulation and impulse work: Practical tools for overwhelm and the patterns that keep you stuck. I use my Impulse Chain™ framework. I also support clients with addiction and compulsive behaviours.
- Burnout and recovery: Rebuild your energy and learn to spot the early signs before it happens again.
- Confidence and personal development: Build confidence and set goals you can actually reach.
- Workplace and business coaching: For professionals and business owners. I accept Access to Work and employer-funded sessions.
- Psychoeducation: Learn how your brain works and why some things feel harder for you than for others. Once you understand the reasons, the self-blame eases and change becomes easier to plan.
- Neuroinclusion training and consultancy: Workshops and consultancy for organisations and managers. I deliver on large sites too. Managers leave knowing what to change and how to support their neurodivergent staff.
- Walking and outdoor sessions: Coaching outdoors if you focus and reflect better on the move.
- Diagnosis and advocacy: Support through diagnosis. I help you ask for what you need at work or in education.

How I work
Sessions are collaborative, paced to suit you, and tailored to how your brain works. I draw on counselling, coaching, and lived experience of ADHD, so the support is practical as well as understanding. Some clients prefer walking sessions outdoors, and these can be arranged where suitable.
