Further information
I believe having fun in coaching is essential because it enhances engagement, creativity, and psychological safety - key ingredients for meaningful change.
When clients enjoy the process, their brains release dopamine, which strengthens learning and motivation. Fun reduces anxiety and opens the door to deeper reflection and experimentation. Research in neuroscience and positive psychology shows that play and laughter improve problem-solving, emotional regulation, and memory retention. In coaching, this means clients are more open, resourceful, and willing to take risks. Fun isn’t about being frivolous - it’s a powerful catalyst for insight, confidence, and sustainable growth.
