If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then perhaps life coaching is for you

About me

Member of the Association for Coaching

My name is Maria and I deeply believe in the human capacity for change and personal growth.  I am passionate about Life Coaching and supporting clients to live their best life now. For some people that may mean overcoming the blocks and unhelpful patterns that keep them stuck in a place where they don't want to be. For others, they may want to make changes in their life but don't know how or can't seem to find the motivation.

As part of my private practice, Choosing Change, I offer a professional life coaching service that promotes and facilitates well-being and personal development for people in Bournemouth, East Dorset & beyond. My practice is approximately 1 mile outside of Bournemouth town centre and there is ample on-road parking and I'm very close to a good public transport route. I also work with clients at home and abroad who prefer online coaching.

Life coaching is a life changing process and a journey to be enjoyed. My remit is to facilitate you into making positive changes that will help you to flourish and be the best you can be.

I can help you to:

·         Explore and clarify your core values

·         Identify and define clear goals (aligned to your values) and then achieve your goals

·         Guide you through the changes and any obstacles

·         Achieve a balance between ‘Being’ and ‘Doing’ that will help you get where you want  to without losing yourself in the process.

I offer life coaching that will help you balance action with the excitement, passion, motivation and the will to achieve your goals and aspirations.

Work with me. "Time and tide wait for no man"

I would love to partner with you on your journey of personal growth

Life coaching

I offer life coaching that can empower you at whatever stage in life you are at, to make, meet and exceed goals in your work life and your personal life. I love helping people unlock their potential (see Further information below)

Positive ageing/well-being coaching

I am particularly passionate about supporting and motivating people in middle age and beyond who want to make their second half their best half.

Successful 'agers' accept that although our  bodies grow older, that doesn't have to stop us  continuing to grow and develop and move forward in new directions.

Ageing well doesn't just happen; it requires a decision and action. If we choose to, there is a great deal we can do to cultivate a positive approach to ageing that facilitates emotional resilience and a future that is full of possibility. I would love to support you in exploring such a journey

Health Coaching

Are you leading an unhealthy lifestyle?   Feeling stressed all the time?

Do you suffer with a chronic condition such as MS, arthritis, colitis/Crohn's, pain or fatigue?

Do you resolve every year to eat better, exercise more or lose weight but it doesn't happen?

Know you could manage your diabetes better but don't?

Want to break free of your phobia or manage your anxiety better?

We may be living longer but we are not healthier. Whilst life expectancy is increasing, the number of years of healthy life in retirement is far from  keeping up. If you want enjoy good health and have a  more active and purposeful older age you must take responsibility for your own health and adopt a longer term healthier lifestyle. For those with existing conditions it will mean better managing those conditions and attending to all that is required to support an improvement in both your physical and mental health

Recovery Coaching

As an qualified and very experienced addiction therapist I am able to work with various addictions including, smoking, gambling, shopping. internet, food, computer games, work, cosmetic surgery, prescription drugs and over the counter painkillers. My speciality is substance misuse particularly alcohol misuse and alcoholism.

I realise that not everyone wants to engage with public funded local community based addiction treatment programs that are based on group work. My private practice offers you confidential bespoke one-to one sessions.
