Hello! I’m Laurie, a careers consultant trained in career development and coaching at Warwick University. I take a creative, engaging and constructive approach to helping individuals and groups to plan their future careers and working life

I offer personalised coaching sessions tailored to your career goals and challenges. I integrate career theory into my work to provide you with effective support. Below are some of the common topics which I have supported clients with:

• Making a career change: Reflect on your career decisions to date, evaluate what’s important to you, explore different options and move forward into an area that’s right for you.
• Job search: Identify roles and industries which align with your career goals. Develop an effective job search strategy.
• Tailored applications: Craft compelling CVs, covering letters and job applications to help you to stand out. 
• Interview preparation: Build your confidence by going into interviews well prepared. Develop responses to frequent interview questions. Receive feedback to improve your interview performance.  Tackle interview nerves with confidence. 
• Overcoming obstacles: Address a lack of motivation, and create a plan of action. 
  The benefit of a 1-1 session is that it is completely personalised, and so targeted to your specific goals. In each session we'll start by discussing what's going on for you. We'll agree an agenda for the appointment and what we want to get out of it.
