About me

The joy of coaching is that the very act of dialogue, the very act of communication, often helps spark new ways of looking at things, new solutions, answers you didn’t know you had.

My approach is empathic and non-judgemental, but I will also ask you questions that will help make you think that little bit more deeply about the issues that you have chosen to focus on.

How coaching can help:
You may want just a few sessions to untangle an issue, work or personal. Maybe you are in a new job, or a new leadership role, or are a new parent, or trying to grow your self-confidence? It may be that we start work on something that leads onto something else. It is driven by you. We go at your pace, in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

The next step:
Drop me an email or text and we can arrange an initial chat on the phone to discuss what you are hoping to get from coaching, and for us to get a feel of what working together would be like.

Training, qualifications & experience

Before training as a coach, I worked for many years as a dyslexia support tutor with students at both Oxford and Oxford Brookes Universities. This needed a clear understanding of the students' learning needs, so that the support I offered was tailored exactly to each student. As a coach, my approach to my clients is similarly bespoke, and together we cover areas such as self-confidence, career crossroads, leadership issues, health and wellbeing, and parenting, all according to the wishes and interests of my client.

  • MA: Psychology (St Andrews)
  • MSc: Child Development with Early Childhood Education (UCL)
  • Postgraduate Certificate: Coaching and Mentoring (Oxford Brookes)
  • MCert: Specific Learning Difficulties (Middlesex)
  • Montessori International Diploma (London)

Testimonials:

When I started my sessions with Kate my life felt like a whirlwind, I was all over the place and constantly felt like I was chasing my tail. My first impression of Kate was that she was easy to talk to and her reassuring, calm manner allowed me to open up and be honest without fear of judgement. In the last 18 months, working with Kate has completely transformed my approach to life, I feel more positive, confident and in control. She is practical, honest and a wonderful listener but her greatest strength lies in her ability to empathise with the people she coaches. No matter how big a crisis feels at the start of our session I know that by the end I will feel on top of the world and be able to move forward with a renewed sense of optimism. I would highly recommend working with her! Thank you Kate!
Emma, entrepreneur, Verona

Kate provided coaching to me during the height of the UK's first lockdown. Through insightful questions, she allows you to drive the conversation and lead yourself down alternative thought paths to consider how to achieve your goals. She was a great support and a friendly face to talk things over throughout the pandemic.
James, Financial Services

I really enjoyed my sessions with Kate; she always made me feel extremely comfortable within her presence. For a long time I have struggled with work related anxiety and it had affected my confidence and self-esteem for many years. Which was why I was so pleased by the outcome of my sessions with Kate. Kate helped me to work through my struggles and come up with practical solutions so I was always fully prepared for every situation. I came out of every session with a new- found confidence and motivation I didn’t know I had. I was overjoyed because in just a few short sessions I was able to make more progress that I had in years; I was able to take on my fears and the anxiety I was facing and develop my confidence. In just a few months, I started a job role as a Social Media Executive in marketing and my confidence has drastically improved, I am able to communicate effectively with others and take on any challenge I am faced with and I owe it all to Kate for helping me to see that I was capable of achieving anything. If you’re looking for an inspiring and friendly work coach then you need to book a session with Kate today; you won’t regret it!
