About us

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to look at my coaching profile. It really important that you find the coach who is the right fit for you and/or your organisation. Hopefully the information below with give you a good initial insight to me as a person and also my experience to see if we might be a good fit!

I live in a ‘leafy’ Cheshire with my wife Sian who runs her own healthcare business, our three teenage children and a bearded collie called Eddie. When I'm not coaching, you can find me enjoying sports, traveling or exploring my Christian faith.

I stepped back from a full-time corporate life, trained as a coach and created some space to invest in others. My goal? To be the support people to move forward when they are feeling stuck and unsure of what to do next.

I am a certified ICF coach and mentor and I have over 25 years of experience in Human Resources leading diverse teams and supporting colleagues, managers and senior leaders across the business. On a personal level, I also have experience of the challenges neurodiversity diagnosis (ADHD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia) brings to individuals and families.

Whether you're a busy business leader, a parent juggling work and family, a small business owner, or anyone else facing the challenges of life's twists and turns, my aim is to provide a listening ear and help you find clarity and confidence.

My coaching experience has covered a variety of different areas - personal and career development, career change, personal challenges inside and outside the workplace and ADHD.

Every client is different and I take a personalised approach to coaching with each person I work with.

I have a real passion for:

  • Young professionals - who want support in navigating the early stages of their careers and discovering their strengths and purpose. My mission is to equip you with the self-awareness and confidence necessary to pursue a career aligned with your aspirations.
  • Seasoned Professionals - who want help reigniting their passion and confidence for work/life. Supporting and challenging you to re-discover your sense of purpose and confidence so you can continue making a difference through your work.

But I’m also happy to coach everyone in between and have significant experience of coaching people with ADHD. Take a look a some of my testimonials below to give you an idea of the type of coach I am.

Testimonials:

“Peter is one of the most genuine and supportive people I have worked with, he is someone who seeks the best in all those around him and coaches and supports all those he comes into contact with, be it at work or outside of work, to achieve their potential.

On an individual level he was the colleague I would naturally go to as someone who would be there to listen to me. Not only is Peter a fantastic listener but he is also excellent at using his experience to guide and advise when that is needed too. Peter was and still is very much a person I go to to sound out ideas, problems and opportunities. I know I can trust him and share my thoughts with him, knowing he will listen and hear me without judgement.

As a leader I have seen Peter in action and have benefitted from working alongside him on many projects and initiatives. Peter is both considerate and influential and drives for results with a pragmatic realism that is aligned to commercial necessity and people impact.”

Beth D - Head of People and Organisational Development

"The coaching sessions with Peter have been really beneficial. I have felt listened to and been given the time to self reflect - this has helped me to identify practical solutions which I have now put into practice and which are helping me to better manage my work life. I would highly recommend.”

Alyson W

"Peter has a lovely calm aura about him but don’t let that fool you. As a coach he will challenge you and ensure you leave your time with him with clear direction of what you need to do to achieve your goals! He in just a few short weeks lit the fire in my belly that allows me to focus more on me and what I want for my future!”

As you can see coaching can help people in many different ways. Here are a few more things coaching can help you with...

  • Developing skills - help people learn practical skills to help them achieve their goals.
  • Understanding - help people gain more self awareness of their behaviors and how they relate to people.
  • Setting goals - help people translate abstract goals into concrete actions and identify the steps needed to achieve them.
  • Building motivation - help people find the motivation to work toward their goals using their strengths.
  • Improving focus - help people maintain focus long enough to carry out a plan.
  • Creating accountability - act as accountability partners to encourage people with as they work to change their habits.
  • Identifying environments - help people identify the environments where they thrive and recreate or seek out similar environments.
  • Advocating - help people  advocate for themselves.

Steps to take and what to expect?

  1. Free 30 min Discovery call – You can get to know me, begin to look at topics that could be explored for you, and discuss what coaching could help with. After that, you decide whether you want to proceed – and no worries if you decide it’s not for you!
  2. Agree Your Programme - If you are happy to proceed we can agree on a programme that works for you. People usually book for 6 sessions, but it can more or less depending what you need. They usually happen every 2 to 4 weeks. We’ll book them all in advance for simplicity, but you can reschedule for free any time up to 24h before the session.
  3. Prepare For Your First Session - once we have agreed a programme I will send you a formal agreement with payment details, together will some questions for you to answer which will help our sessions.

The Coaching Session
Each session will usually start with discussing what’s most important for you to think through today.

We will set a goal for the session and discuss what is currently going on. Then we will explore your options in more detail; and conclude with some clear, practical actions which you’ll set for yourself.

How the Coaching Session Works
As a coach, I will help you by:

Asking questions: You are the expert in your problems and will have the best solution for you – I am not here to tell you the answer based on my experience or expertise.

Working towards your goals: In each session, you will set a goal which we will explore in detail so you can come up with practical, actionable steps by the end of the session.

Listening: This time for you to be heard is one of the most significant benefits of coaching. A sympathetic ear and someone to be on your side with a deep concern for the areas of your interest, can be hard to find.
