About me
I specialise in coaching for teenagers and adults with ADHD/ASD and also for parents/carers of those with ADHD. I offer a safe, confidential, non judgmental space. Working from a strength based approach we can work together to help you understand your challenges and identify practical ways to support you to achieve your personal and professional goals, using strategies customised to your individual challenges, enabling you to reach your full potential. It is about what you can do , not what you cant do!
I am mum to a young man with ADHD/ASD, and wife to a husband with ADHD. I have worked in the field of neurodiversity for more than ten years, delivering coaching, counselling and training to those living with ADHD/ASD, and professionals. I have extensive experience of working with young people, having been a full time Youth Worker for 27 years. I am a qualified CBT therapist and Supervisor for Mental Health Practitioners. I am passionate about supporting those with a diverse mind to reach their potential.
What to expect.
The relationship between us is of paramount importance which is why I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to help you decide if you want to work with me.
Having a 'life goal' can feel really daunting, it can sometimes seem so big its unachievable. Broken down in to smaller steps it becomes much more realistic and manageable. In sessions, we will focus on where you are now, where you want to be, and how you are going to get there, by
· Being clear about your goals
· Identifying what is getting in the way
· Creating action plans to achieve your goals
These are your sessions and you lead them.
The initial session will be an assessment to clarify what you really want, develop those goals and agree an action plan.
Subsequent sessions will review your goals and action plans, and set further goals.
You will have little tasks to do in between each session, to help you achieve your goals and we will keep track of your progress so you can see how far you have come.
You will have the opportunity to feedback on how you think the sessions are going, so we can ensure they are working for you.
You will see improvements in your 'executive functioning' - more 'professional' at work; keeping up with your education; less frustrated/angry - but also in your confidence and self esteem, as you progress towards your goals.
If you want a Coach who
- understands the challenges specific to ADHD, and how those challenges affect you.
- will challenge you and provide accountability
- will believe in your potential and take your goals seriously
- will encourage you to believe in yourself
- will keep you on track.
please contact me.
