Habits to change for life progression

There are most likely a number of things that are standing in your way from living a meaningful life. What are you prepared to change?

Doing things that you shouldn’t be doing

This could encompass drinking, watching copious amount of TV, surfing the internet, eating too much… the list goes on. Could you perhaps cut the time down doing these things and focus on something productive?

Complaining

Everyone needs to complain once in a while - it can feel cathartic. But when you continue to do it on a regular basis, you are exuding a lot of negative energy. While you are complaining, you are stopping yourself taking action to make your situation any better. Think about that next time you feel like complaining.

Avoiding learning

If you don’t continually learn and develop as a person, you may feel like you’re simply treading water in life. Try to keep active and learn new things to really feed your mind.

Negative self-talk

Negative self-talk can really affect your life. Henry Ford’s quotes resonates with this: “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t… either way, you’re right.” If you tell yourself you will never complete your next goal, the odds are, you won’t.

Whatever you tell yourself tends to become reality. So closely monitor your thoughts to progress with your life.

Not planning for the future

Although it can be great to live in the moment, sometimes you need direction to know where to go. If you don’t have a plan or a goal, you could be wandering aimlessly for years.
