Jenny Butter. Career, Life, Personal Development and Business Coach.
Clients come from all walks of life - directors to recently redundant; retired to youth; business owners to vicars to parents. I enjoy working with people who feel stuck. Both private clients and organisations consistently give excellent feedback.
"I found Jenny after looking at a LOT of coaches online. I checked her website against others in and around the South of England and the more I read, the more comfortable I felt. The issues I went to Jenny with were dragging me down, leaving me depressed and at my wit's end. After the first session with Jenny, I felt my spirits lifted. She gave me the confidence to do things I wanted to do which in turn brushed away the depression. After the second session, I saw everything going up. And since then I have felt on top of the world. I genuinely don’t think I’d of been able to do this without Jenny’s help. Look no further than Epiphany Life Coaching. 5*" Alex Stride
"Get where you want to go. Become who you are meant to be."
Do you want a new job or better work-life balance? Do you want to improve confidence, energy, health or motivation and need a coach to make it happen?
With organisations, I do outplacement, personal development, and staff coaching as well as run strengths based development workshops for managers and teams, based on Gallup's Clifton Strengthsfinder. In addition, work-life balance workshops are well received.
Each session is tailored to you. Some clients prefer to focus on just life or career coaching and others prefer to have a combination of both. Each person is unique and requires different input from me.
If you are already doing well coaching can take you from good to great. If you are struggling, life coaching can be the preventative measure needed to manage stress, unhappiness or disillusionment and get life back on track.
Coaching is very powerful and successful. My clients report consistently excellent results. I work from the premise that when you know who you are, you will know what action to take. Arising from the self-awareness and epiphanies that occur during coaching sessions, clients are able to make the right decision and are eager to take action.
If you want a new direction, career change or are a teenager wanting to discover career options we find out your top 5 strengths using the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment. It is far easier to achieve and do well if you are starting from a position of strength. You will also enjoy your work much more. Once we know what your strengths are then we will look at different roles which suit them. In fact, Gallup has found that “people who do have the opportunity to focus on their strengths every day are six times as likely to be engaged in their jobs and more than three times as likely to report having an excellent quality of life in general.”
Are you feeling unsatisfied with life? This could be because what you care about has not been articulated or linked to what you are doing. Knowing your values equips you to take the right action. One of my clients who was unhappy in all areas of his life discovered that he was in the right job role, just not in the right organisation or location… “I feel like a new person, the salary cut was definitely worth it”.
Recruiters require an answer to arguably just three questions. Can you do the job? Will you do the job? Are you the right fit?
Career coaching gives you to the opportunity to know your strengths, motivation and fit; decide what the next step is for you, and be able to communicate who you are and what you bring to employers.
Outcomes from coaching will be recorded and a list of non-negotiables for the right job will be developed. From this, you are able to pursue ‘fit’ openings. If requested, the coaching sessions will culminate in a tailored CV for use in your first choice job and a session on interview techniques.
Many of my clients live and work overseas, or elsewhere in the UK, and I coach via Skype. If you are local we can meet face to face in Henfield, Shoreham, Horsham, at Devils Dyke or at another mutually agreed location. In addition, I am available between coaching sessions via email, Skype or phone if required. It is very important, when choosing a coach, that you work with someone you feel happy with. Coaching is based on trust and honesty. I always spend time chatting with potential clients first, so we can get to know each other and get an idea of how we can work together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I become a Senior Accredited Coach after living overseas and seeing the amount of stress, disillusionment and burnout there was among the expat community. During that period, my husband and I underwent life coaching and it so revolutionised things for us, that I decided to retrain. I get a thrill out of seeing people have an ‘epiphany’ moment.
Epiphany Life Coaching is a support organisation for the NHS MINDFUL EMPLOYER® scheme and a member of Global Connections.
Before becoming a coach I worked as a BBC radio producer and reporter. Prior to that, I did PR for the international aid and development agency, World Vision. I have lived in the Seychelles, Sri Lanka and New York, and currently, live in West Sussex in the UK.
