About me

My name is Denise Chatterton, and I am a Personal and Executive Coach specialising in the area of personal development and individual effectiveness, with expertise in career management, well-being/resilience, developing confidence/self-esteem and relational behaviours. Over the past 25 years I have worked developing leaders and teams both as a coach and a facilitator.

Coaching through personal awareness means looking objectively at your attitudes, assumptions, motivations, emotions, strengths, and development issues. In doing so, I help the individual provide a sense of who they are, a vision of the person they want to become, and most importantly creating a plan for professional and/or personal development that can be effectively delivered upon.

Regular feedback, that I have received from clients at all levels of organisations, is that I am able to quickly establish a rapport and identify, with clients, their unhelpful beliefs and behaviours, and support them in challenging these in order to develop.

I have vast experience in the private and public sectors, both in the UK and globally. My business experience was gained during senior roles at Bosch, BMW and Safeway, whilst my role as a Visiting Tutor at Cranfield University School of Management ensures I keep abreast of leading thinking in management development and current business trends.

I am a coach on the award winning Women in Leadership Programmes within Linklaters and EY. I am an accredited Myers Briggs Type Indicator administrator, a Member of the Association for Coaching and an Accredited Member of BACP (Coaching).

As a qualified Psychotherapist and an accredited trainer of the Penn Resiliency Programme from the University of Pennsylvania, I assist the individual, in exploring the deeper dynamics which impact on their effectiveness. I am able to support clients in maintaining their well-being, and therefore, increase their resilience, especially when dealing with pressure and change, thereby maximising their operational effectiveness.

Through my enthusiastic, versatile, and relaxed coaching style, I am able to gain immediate trust with participants, allowing them to feel challenged in a non-judgemental manner. My expertise in relational behaviours, provides a platform for helping the individual to establish and maintain more authentic relationships, improving their ability to influence and motivate others.
