About me

Hello, my name is Carrie and I specialise in three main areas of coaching work: Personal Consultancy, Career Transition and New Business. I am a qualified coach and counsellor, working in private practice.

Personal Consultancy is the name given to a new type of coaching, a framework that combines a transformative coaching style with a therapeutic approach. In practise this means I can work with the whole of you; all of your experience, thoughts and feelings, your past, present and hopes for the future. This is a great model for coaching professional leaders at work or as a 'life-coaching' tool for everyone else.

As a professional leader you might choose me as your coach if you:

  • are a leader at the top of your game, striving for optimal performance while maintaining balance and integrity

  • feel isolated professionally and lack the support and challenge to develop and grow your potential

  • feel like an imposter in your leadership role and yearn to find your authentic voice and presence

  • are personally experiencing, or are leading others, through a period of considerable change and seek support to maintain clarity and purpose in the moments of, sometimes overwhelming, doubt and uncertainty

For 'life-coaching' you might choose me as your coach if you:

  • feel unsatisfied with life and seek the supportive challenge to drive you towards finding fulfillment and sustained change

  • are going through a life-transition that offers the challenge and opportunity for fresh thinking and a new approach

Career Transition coaching provides you with the space to think freely and without limitations. It is right for you if you feel stuck in a rut, unmotivated or uninspired by your current career and would like to consider new possibilities.

New Business coaching is about challenge and support. Whether you are about to launch your new business or are still dreaming and making plans, coaching can help ignite your creativity, build your resilience to face the challenges ahead and encourage you to do it 'your way'.

My background:

Prior to re-training as a coach and counsellor I spent nearly 20 years working as a director of a global recruitment firm. In my corporate life I managed multi-million pound budgets and hundreds of staff and loved the responsibility and fast pace. Now as a coach and therapist I work with individuals from all walks of life to help transform their lives for the better, drawing on all of my experience to best facilitate change and growth.

My coaching style:

My style is informal, relaxed, friendly, supportive and challenging. I love to work creatively with clients and often bring different tools and techniques into sessions to help ignite thinking. I also believe humour has real value in coaching, nothing is better to diffuse tension and ease awkwardness when trying something new.

From my own experience and interests I am, perhaps, best suited to working with people within the following professions (although this is most certainly not an exhaustive list):

Business, Education, Medical, Mental Health, Sales, Recruitment/HR, Parenting, Creative Industries, Construction/Engineering, Health and Well-being, Leisure and Tourism, Food, Environmental and the Charity sector.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Senior Practitioner in Coaching Advanced Post-graduate Diploma, accredited by the EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council) and an Advanced Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, accredited by the National Counselling Society.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy - MBACP

I am an accredited member of National Counselling Society - MNCS Accredited

I hold a BA (Hons) degree

Other areas of coaching I deal with
