About me
Are you questioning your next career move, feeling stuck in your current position, or wondering what artificial intelligence could mean for your future?
You do not need to have all the answers before starting coaching. My role is to help you step back from the noise, think more clearly and turn uncertainty into decisions and practical next steps.
I am Peter Fahy, a qualified coach, an Association for Coaching Member and an experienced HR recruitment specialist. For more than 10 years, I have supported people through career decisions, professional transitions and important periods of change.
My recruitment experience gives me an informed view of the world of work. I understand how organisations assess people, how careers develop and how difficult it can be to recognise and communicate your own value when you are too close to the situation.
Artificial intelligence has been a serious interest of mine since 2014, when I wrote my university thesis on the subject. I have followed its development ever since and now regularly help people work through the uncertainty, fear and opportunities it can create.
I do not provide technical AI training. Instead, I help you explore the human questions surrounding it. What could AI mean for your role? Which of your abilities will remain valuable? Where might you need to adapt? How can you use new technology without losing confidence in your own judgement, experience or identity?
I can support you if you are:
- considering a career or professional change
- feeling stuck or uncertain about what comes next
- navigating redundancy, restructuring or workplace change
- concerned about the effect of AI on your career
- struggling to recognise or communicate your strengths
- looking to rebuild confidence and direction
- facing an important personal or professional decision
My coaching training at the University of Cambridge was academically rigorous, practical and grounded in established coaching methods. It gave me a clear structure for helping people explore their thinking, challenge assumptions and reach their own conclusions.
That structure is important, but my approach is never one-size-fits-all. You bring your circumstances, values and ambitions. I bring careful listening, thoughtful questions, honest challenge and a calm, confidential space in which you can think properly.
My style is warm, practical and direct. I will not tell you what you should do or try to impose my version of success on you. We will work together to understand what matters to you, identify what may be holding you back and develop a way forward that feels both meaningful and realistic.
I work particularly well with professionals navigating career change, workplace uncertainty or the impact of AI. I also welcome clients seeking clarity around broader personal or professional goals.
If you are at a crossroads and would value the time and space to work out what comes next, I would be pleased to hear from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
Professional membership and coaching qualification
- Member of the Association for Coaching (MAC)
- Certificate in Coaching, University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education, completed in 2021 - My Cambridge programme combined rigorous academic study with practical, assessed coaching experience. It included structured coaching training, documented one-to-one coaching practice, tutor-led demonstrations, supervised coaching triads, real-time feedback and reflective learning.
Coaching experience
Since completing my qualification, I have coached senior HR professionals, including Chief People Officers and HR Directors, across sectors ranging from sovereign wealth and investment management to hedge funds and financial services.
Over approximately five years, I have supported clients with career decisions, professional transitions, confidence, workplace challenges and personal development. My approach is confidential, client-led and focused on helping individuals think clearly, understand their options and make decisions aligned with their own goals.
Professional experience
I have more than 10 years of experience in recruitment and HR executive search. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with professionals navigating career changes, preparing for important conversations and interviews, evaluating opportunities, recognising their strengths and managing periods of professional uncertainty.
This background gives me practical insight into how organisations hire, assess talent and make decisions. Where relevant, that perspective can complement my coaching, while the coaching relationship itself remains confidential, independent and centred on the individual.
AI knowledge
My academic interest in artificial intelligence began in 2014, when I completed my university thesis on the subject. I have followed its development closely ever since.
This allows me to support clients who are considering how AI may affect their role, skills, confidence, career choices or longer-term professional direction, while helping them distinguish between genuine change, uncertainty and speculation.

The Association has a Code of Ethics & Good Practice and a Complaints Procedure.
Areas of coaching I deal with
Fees
£50.00 - £90.00
Additional information
My standard fee is £90 for a 60-minute one-to-one coaching session.
I also offer a reduced fee of £50 for people whose current circumstances make the standard fee difficult to afford. This may include someone who has recently been made redundant, is unemployed or between roles, has experienced a temporary reduction in income, or is dealing with personal circumstances that have created financial pressure.
The reduced fee is not formally means-tested. I will not ask for financial documents or require you to share extensive personal details. Simply mention when contacting me that the standard fee would be difficult at present, along with a brief indication of your circumstances, and I will consider your request respectfully and in confidence.
I offer this because I believe coaching can be particularly valuable when someone is experiencing uncertainty or change. It can help people regain confidence, recognise their strengths, make informed decisions and pursue opportunities that may improve their future career and earning potential. I want cost to be less of a barrier for people who could genuinely benefit from that support.
Sessions can be booked individually, so there is no requirement to commit to a package.
I also offer a complimentary 20-minute introductory conversation. This allows us to discuss what you would like to achieve, explain how I work and decide whether we are a good fit before booking a full session. The introductory conversation is a suitability discussion rather than a coaching session.
Further information
I offer confidential one-to-one coaching online.
I work in accordance with the Association for Coaching’s ethical framework and welcome clients from all backgrounds. My approach is inclusive, respectful and tailored to the individual rather than based on assumptions about what success should look like.
Although my professional background is in recruitment, coaching is a separate and confidential service. It is not a recruitment or job-placement service. Our work will focus entirely on your goals, choices and development.
If I believe that another professional or form of support would be better suited to your needs, I will always be open and honest about this.
