About me
My dual qualifications in life coaching and counselling mean that we can work flexibly, depending on your needs and preferences at the time. I am a firm believer that, whilst I have qualifications, you are the expert when it comes to yourself and what will be helpful for you.
I specialise in helping people to rebuild when they have experienced bereavement or one of the many other forms of loss that occur throughout our lives. I can't take your grief away, but I can help you to begin to find ways to live and move forward even if you are moving towards a future that you never imagined.
Loss changes us. We don’t forget the person who has died, the sadness of not being a parent or the disappointment of a lost career. There may still be regret about opportunities missed. But alongside that, it is possible to move forward, to rebuild, to live again.
As a life coach and counsellor, I can help you through the difficult times of your grieving and, when you are ready, I can support you to rebuild your life and move onwards towards new experiences and choices.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have more than 30 years of working with and supporting adults - including carers, people experiencing mental health challenges, people who have survived bereavement or other difficult life events, volunteers and staff members.
I have worked as a supporter, an adviser, a trainer, a facilitator, a counsellor, a manager, and a volunteer. I have worked in the voluntary, charitable and private sectors.
Alongside coaching and counselling, I continue to work part-time for a charity, supporting and signposting people who are experiencing poor mental health and wellbeing.
On a personal level, I have known the benefit of having someone to speak to who listened without judgment, sat with my pain and helped me to plan with hope for the future when I was ready.
My qualifications:
- Life Coaching Diploma (Merit) - The Coaching Academy 2025
- Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling (Distinction) Newman University 2013
- I am a Mental Health First Aider and was a Mental Health First Aid instructor from 2016 to 2023
- Level 2 Bereavement Care (2010)
- Level 3 Grief and Bereavement Counselling (2026)
