About me
I'm an ADHD and AuDHD coach based in Bristol. I've been coaching for over 8 years and with lived experience of many of the challenges my clients face, I am able to support you with empathy and understanding.
I completed additional qualifications in ADHD coaching after being diagnosed myself aged 35. During your coaching programme we'll explore how ADHD presents for you and how this impacts both your work and personal life, including topics like motivation, memory, emotional regulation, negative self-talk, impulsivity, RSD and focus.
My coaching style is warm, non-judgemental, and supportive yet challenging when needed.
I offer both online and in-person sessions, including walking coaching sessions in Stoke Park, which can be an amazing way of getting into nature and opening up new perspectives.
More information about my coaching can be found on my website: www.elliestarkwood.com
Deaf-friendly coaching
My mother is profoundly Deaf and I have volunteered for a Deaf children's charity most of my life so I have an added understanding of deafness and some of the challenges it can bring. While I am not fluent in BSL, I offer Deaf-friendly coaching sessions, and I'm always keen to discuss how I can meet your communication needs.
Here's what people have said about my coaching:
"Ellie is a really wonderful coach, she has helped me overcome so much self doubt and is really easy to talk to. She made me feel really comfortable and safe and has left me with some great tools that I can now use for the rest of my life" - Phoebe S
“Even after my very first coaching session with Ellie, I felt so much more optimistic about my goals. She asked helpful questions but gave me plenty of space to come to my own realisations myself; this helped me zone in on several realistic, achievable actions that I could start doing straight away” - Robyn S
“I really appreciated how warm you were. It made me feel at ease. You’re also a fantastic listener - you know how to let people take the time to unravel their thoughts, even if it takes time. Equally, it felt like you knew exactly when it was your time to intervene and give guidance. You’ve basically given me tools and ideas to reverse my perspective on my career, which is very empowering” - Maïté B
“You have a presence that is really calming and easy to talk to. I always felt could say what I wanted and when I went off on a tangent you brought me back gently. I now understand my ADHD much better and feel like I have the tools I need to keep going. Thank you!” - Gemma W
