Stress - are you aware of yours?

Stress has a lot to answer for in the world. When under too much stress we all respond and react differently to circumstances, events and the people around us.

But how aware are we that we are over-stressed? On any one day and at different points in the day, I wonder if you rated your stress levels 0-10 and those close to you rated your stress levels, how closely matched would the numbers be?

Sometimes we can be stressed without realising it.

Sometimes we are stressed but feel unable to do anything about it.

We've lost our grip on managing our own stress levels.

If this goes on without being addressed, then we reach burn out and our bodies will try to let us know. Even then we still may not pay attention to the signs and carry on regardless, adding further fuel to the burnout scenario. And round the loop we go...

Taking a time-out to examine if you are living life with an appropriate level of stress (some stress is positive) could be one of the most important things you do to take your life forward positively. Making changes that keep your stress levels (and therefore your life) on an even keel are changes well worth making.

Having a coach to facilitate this exercise with you ensures that you don't avoid dealing with those areas of stress that probably need the most attention.

I urge you to take a moment to consider what your relationship with stress is today.
