Emotional cleaning:

As a life coach I feel guided to encourage all peoples to be mindful of their thoughts when reflecting on the relationships in their lives - this includes their relationship with self and all significant others – family -  lover - partner - friend - colleagues - the environment…

Tune into yourself and listen to your inner voice (your thoughts). Your thoughts are the control panel governing your feelings and your actions – imagine a daily dusting of old disempowering thoughts and attachments, cleaning daily for good mental hygiene allowing you to be present, mindful, grateful, joyful, hopeful and at peace.

Cultivating positive thoughts can be challenging due to the negativity bias also known as the negativity effect which refers to the notion that, even when of equal intensity, things of a more negative nature (e.g. unpleasant thoughts, emotions, or social interactions; harmful/traumatic events) have a greater effect on one's psychological state and processes than do neutral or positive things. This negativity dominance describes the tendency for the combination of positive and negative items/events/etc. to skew towards an overall more negative interpretation, negative thoughts and ultimately negative outcomes.

The potency of negative bias should not be ignored we need to be mindful and challenge this negativity bias in order to re-programme our thoughts to positivity on a daily basis.

Reflect - do you bring jealousy or the actions of past boyfriends or girlfriends/partners/family/work into your relationships?  Do you bring mental clutter by never unplugging and being fully present for your significant other? Is your life governed by the inner self-critic, procrastination, lack of self-confidence and esteem, divorce, separation, break-ups, workplace bullying, family and friend disputes etc? If yes, it is really important to internalise these experiences as “great teachers” – something to learn from and move forward from – stronger and more resilient

Be careful to not replay the script of the past into new experiences or else you will live a “groundhog day” when the only thing changing is the characters while the conditioned script remains the non-changing constant.

Keep your thoughts positive, dust daily with some stardust, emotionally regulate to the positive and be mindful that nothing can disturb your peace of mind unless you let it!

Get to the mind gym and work out every day.

Spring clean your physical environment

De-clutter your environment regularly, just like your thoughts, clear your physical environment of objects. This psychological connection/attachment to things/objects is what leads to the accumulation of stuff.

If a relationship has ended, children have flown the nest, you've divorced or bereavement has occurred it is important to clear out the physical memories/associated objects/things and pay them forward to friends, charity etc. and leave room and space for new memories to be created. Expand beyond the need to attach to the physical and let go  “mental feng shui”.

General clutter coming from a fear of letting go can have a negative impact on your ability to focus and process information, clutter is stuck stagnant energy and can prevent you from creating the life you choose, desire and deserve. We discuss clutter in all its forms: energetic, spiritual, emotional, mental & physical, clutter is blocking them. When we remove clutter from our lives we can discover our passions, creativity, desires and breathe in and exhale the possibility of…

Spring clean your body

When you have lots of clutter, the energy of your home gets congested, and so does your body. People who tend to clutter generally do not get enough exercise they often present with digestive issues, poor diets, dull complexions, low energy, low mood and poor relationships. People with little clutter in their lives are generally more active; make healthier choices, have positive and healthier relationships and live generally more fulfilling lives.

Make a plan to spring clean your body - detox, have a cleanse day to reset your appetite and metabolism, avoid processed foods, avoid chemicals, exercise, meditate, make love, learn new things, get out in the great outdoors, and spring clean all the nasty habits that are blocking you from optimum health and healthy relationships.
