About me
Hi! I’m Tasha Hickling, the founder of Indigo Hub and a qualified and certified Neurodivergent Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapist and Life Coach. After years of working in education as a Primary teacher and SENDCO, I am now pursuing my passion through my work as a neurodivergent coach and therapist.
And yes, I have neurodivergent conditions myself, I was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism in my 20’s and to add to that, I’ve also been diagnosed with other co-existing conditions including dyslexia, dyspraxia, sensory processing disorder (SPD) and anxiety at different stages of my life, shaping me into the person I am today.
Truth be told, I experienced the same neurodivergent challenges and the trauma effects that came with them for years before finally being diagnosed in my 20s. It was at that pivotal moment in time that all my parts and past experiences started to make sense to me. I finally gained clarity. It was only after that that the real work began; even though I was embracing this new awareness, knowledge, and creations, there was still something within me that was blocking me. It wasn't until I began looking closer at the deeper levels that I realised there was so much more to it. Through regulation practice, environmental changes, and processing work, I began to reconnect with my body, and by working through the trauma alongside the challenges, I have discovered deeper layers of emotional and physical healing that have truly changed my life. In spite of the hardships I've experienced, I've found my way back and reconnected with who I really am.
Due to my own experiences, I have a fiery spark that ignites an innate desire to help people discover their true selves in the way they were meant to be. Here I am today, dedicating my life's work to helping those of you with neurodivergent conditions make sense of your lives, take steps in the right direction, and most importantly, to help you see the world through "your eyes" so that you may truly heal.
See what Clients say:
E.C., Young Adult Coaching Client: "I couldn’t just sum up the hugely positive impact you’ve had in my life in just a couple of sentences. That being said feel free to pick shorter parts of this if you prefer something shorter. Natasha has been an instrumental force of good in my life. She has an innate gift, talent and passion for coaching that I would not have found elsewhere. Her sessions are very client led and she has a fantastic ability to understand exactly what is needed for the individual. When I first started seeing Natasha I struggled to see a future for myself, I had no idea who I was and struggled to even accept my diagnosis. With Natasha’s guidance I now see a future, I know who I am and I have got to a place of complete acceptance. I am now proud to be who I am and I now know how to work with my brain rather than against it. Natasha has given me my hope and my future back and for that I will be forever grateful.”
W.L,. Therapy/Coaching Client: “Tasha is a fantastic coach and therapist and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Her extensive knowledge and lived experience of neurodivergence, which she freely shares, makes you feel at ease, understood and in a safe pair of hands. She takes the time to get to know you and is very flexible and adaptable to work out the approach that is right for you. Her honest but empathetic and warm manner offers a safe space in which to tackle difficult and sensitive issues. She can also equip clients with an extensive range of simple but highly effective tools that can be used in everyday life to complement the recovery process.
I am so grateful to Tasha for supporting me in my journey, helping me achieve closure for things I have found challenging and giving me greater confidence in tackling my emotions in a constructive and healthy way.”
