Having helped others to understand their own desired outcomes, and given them the tools to change their habitual ways of thinking, my clients are achieving their goals in both their personal and working lives. I have watched them grow in confidence and self-assurance as they validate their own accomplishments.

Whatever change or challenge, coaching is a gentle way to develop self-defined goals and to uncover paths to their fruition. The achievement of such goals brings such a huge boost that it cannot be overestimated.
And the beauty of coaching is that the goal, the path, the achievement, and the empowerment are all your own. How amazing is that!
After working for many years in the Education sector, I found that I wanted to be working more closely with people - listening, encouraging, and empowering; enabling them to focus on their own goal, bringing self-direction and self-belief. My own shift towards my goal started when I became attuned to Reiki - my first step into the field of energy, which developed over time to further study and the practice of different modalities, culminating in becoming an accredited life coach.
I have experience of working with people of all ages who wish to work on all kinds of issues. I have worked with students as they start their journey into the competitive world of work, often unsure of what to do and where to start. However, looking for a new job or for advancement can come at any stage in your working life. It is sometimes difficult to clarify what to do, where to look, and how to put yourself forward as a good candidate, particularly if confidence is low.
If you are a job seeker of any age, I will collaborate to get you ready for your career, supporting you in developing focus and self-awareness. You’ll also benefit from practical, hands-on help with preparation and planning, giving you the very best start in your new job.
And I enjoy helping women who are struggling with self-esteem issues; this can affect their lives in many ways, such as whether they put themselves forward for promotion; in personal relationships, or enhancing their wellbeing. Women do tend to be reticent about their achievements, often not even acknowledging their value to themselves, let alone speaking about them. There are a number of ways to support you, and I would love to have an opportunity of sharing them.
For those of us who are now ‘mature’, retirement often bringing feelings of loss, loneliness and even grief. The loss of a job title and the structure of a work schedule, together with the loss of connection to other people, be they colleagues or customers, can leave one feeling stranded without purpose to the retirement years stretching forward. Talking about feelings, and working on a plan to find opportunities for a worthwhile and productive retirement, will help massively to boost all-round wellbeing.
As well as being a life coach, I am Mum to two adopted sons, having suffered infertility all my married life. I understand the pain of infertility, the struggle to come to terms with a basic human need unfulfilled. The path to successful treatment can be long and emotionally exhausting, a cycle of hope - too often followed by crushing disappointment. The journey can be expensive and all-consuming, it being difficult to see life outside of the drive to have a child. My unique approach can help you to find a balance between the goal, your wellbeing and your life as a person in your own right.
Similarly, the adoption process is usually a long and challenging one, and the challenge doesn’t stop the day your child is placed in your arms. To be considered as an adoptive parent, one has to jump through a multitude of hoops, your future in the hands of judging panels and social workers. The wait can be long and the strain telling. There are many emotions that will crop up over the years and which I understand deeply.
What To Expect From A Session
I am often asked 'What is Life coaching actually?'. The term might seem a bit 'fluffy' - its difficult to describe unless you have been coached! It covers as wide an area as life itself does, and is up to each individual to find their own priority with the coach's help.
Coaching will help you to develop focus and clarity. It offers time and space for you to talk about your own goals in a safe and welcoming environment.
It is important to feel comfortable with your coach, and to build up a good feeling; I will not be telling you what you do, but will help you to gently discover what you want to aim for, and for you to find the answers from within.
So I offer a free twenty minute phone conversation, so that you can get a feel that we can work together before you decide to go ahead.

Association for Coaching
The Association for Coaching is one of the leading professional bodies for Coaches and Organisations.
The Association is made up of a number of different membership categories, e.g. Associate Member (AMAC), Member (MAC), Accredited Member (AC Accred), with the different categories standing for different levels of training and experience. Accredited Members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
The Association has a Code of Ethics & Good Practice and a Complaints Procedure.
