Suse B. Bentley - Women's Life Coach
Hi, I'm Suse.
I work with women who are looking to create positive change and impact in their careers and women who want to create sustainable joy in their lives. I most often work with Gen X women (born between 1965 and 1980) who are now sandwiched between caring for children and older parents, who are just looking to find their Riot Grrrl spark again or who are finding that perimenopause or menopause is causing them to stop and rethink what they want from their careers or personal lives.
Is this you?
Are you frustrated at your lack of progress towards a specific goal you have for your life?
Are you feeling stuck? In your current job, your personal circumstances?
Do you look at your peers and question why you’re not where they are?
Have you hit a transition point in your life where you don’t know who you are anymore? Midlife? Menopause? Retirement?
I can help you with honest, insightful coaching conversations. The aims of your coaching with me are set by you, whether that's personal development coaching, confidence building, focused goals, career coaching or just the space every couple of weeks to work through an issue that doesn't line up with your values in work or life.
COVID-19 UPDATE: All discovery calls and all coaching programmes are now available online via Zoom.
If you're thinking about getting a coach, the process is easy. Email me and we can set up a half hour phone call. This call will be about the practicalities of coaching (when, where, how often, how much) but also is a great way to figure out the connection with me.
A coach is there for you so you need to get along with them! A discovery call may well involve more questions from me to you than you were expecting – this is because I’ll be getting to know about you, your current situation and what you want to gain from coaching.
Most coaches offer this type of call so if the call feels like a job interview or a really bad Tinder date, it may not be the right coach for you and that's okay.
This is why an initial discovery call is so important as you will get a sense of the connection that’s possible if you choose to move forward with coaching sessions with me.
Once we've chatted, if you want to move forward with coaching with me, I'll send you a welcome pack that will include our coaching agreement and a coaching questionnaire. This questionnaire will help you refine what you want to change in your life through coaching and can be a basis for our first coaching session (although you don't have to stick to it, the questionnaire often helps you to really think about what brings you joy in life and what is keeping you stuck). I want my clients to feel as comfortable as possible with being coached so I only ask for the first session's payment before we meet. If coaching with me isn't for you after the first session, that's okay. If you want to continue with a coaching package, that's the time when I ask for the rest of the payment package.
I hope this information helps you decide on whether coaching with me is for you and I look forward to hearing from you.

What past clients have said about their coaching experience with me:
"I had an excellent experience of life coaching with Susan. I was unsure of the process but she quickly put me at ease and explained how it would work and we established expectations and boundaries. She worked with intuition and empathy and we quickly established some deep seated patterns which helped to guide future sessions. At no point did I feel pressurised, the whole process felt very organic."
"I wholly recommend Susan for coaching. She creates an informal yet professional environment for her sessions, which allows for comfortable discussions. She is very talented in helping you to identify, talk about and make steps towards achieving your goals. I think she embodies exactly what a coach should offer: expert listening skills, gentle but directed encouragement, and helpful reflective practice. Susan helped me to define and focus on some clear objectives and by the end of my last session with her I was well on the way to achieving them, something I am not sure I could have done without her input. Look no further for any other coach!"
