About me

Hi, I'm Suse.

I work with women who are looking to create positive change and impact in their careers and lives. I most often work with Gen X women (born between 1965 and 1980) who are now sandwiched between caring for children and older parents, who are just looking to find their Riot Grrrl spark again or who are finding that perimenopause or menopause is causing them to stop and rethink what they want from their careers or personal lives.

Is this you?

  • Are you frustrated at your lack of progress towards a specific goal you have for your life?
  • Are you feeling stuck? In your current job, your personal circumstances?
  • Do you look at your peers and question why you’re not where they are?
  • Have you hit a transition point in your life where you don’t know who you are anymore? Midlife? Menopause? Retirement?
  • Are you struggling with some aspects of your team at work and how you can create value in your team with your team leadership?

I can help you with honest, insightful coaching conversations. The aims of your coaching with me are set by you, whether that's personal development coaching, confidence building, focused goals, career coaching or just the thinking space every couple of weeks to work through an issue that doesn't line up with your values in work or life.

COVID-19 UPDATE: All discovery calls and all coaching programmes are now available online via Zoom.

The process

If you're thinking about getting a coach, the process is easy. Book a free coaching consult here: https://calendly.com/susecoaching/discovery-call-with-suse-b-bentley

This call will be about the practicalities of coaching (when, where, how often, how much) but also is a great way to figure out your connection with me.

A coach is there for you so you need to get along with them! A free coaching consult may well involve more questions from me to you than you were expecting – this is because I’ll be getting to know about you, your current situation and what you want to gain from coaching. You will get a sense of the connection that’s possible if you choose to move forward with coaching sessions with me.

What my clients say:

"Susan is extremely easy to engage with; she listens closely and is very supportive yet with the right amount of personal challenge. She picked out comments I made and behaviours I may have brushed aside or shied away from looking at in a supportive and empathetic way which always felt 100% genuine, which looking back was exactly what I wanted and more specifically what I needed in order to make small steps and changes towards reaching my goals." - Life Coaching client

"I gained SO much from my sessions with Suse. I was blown away by how important and how transformational this process has been for me. I can honestly say this process has contributed to my well-being. I feel so much happier in my role, I feel so much more equipped for dealing with difficulties in my team. My responses to recent situations as a result of this coaching experience have definitely benefited my team but they have empowered me. I am a stronger, happier leader who now includes myself in decisions at work." - Team Leadership Coaching client

I hope this information helps you decide on whether coaching with me is for you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Here's some more of what my clients have said about their coaching experience with me:

"I had an excellent experience of life coaching with Susan. I was unsure of the process but she quickly put me at ease and explained how it would work and we established expectations and boundaries. She worked with intuition and empathy and we quickly established some deep-seated patterns which helped to guide future sessions. At no point did I feel pressurised, the whole process felt very organic."

"I wholly recommend Susan for coaching. She creates an informal yet professional environment for her sessions, which allows for comfortable discussions. She is very talented in helping you to identify, talk about and make steps towards achieving your goals. I think she embodies exactly what a coach should offer: expert listening skills, gentle but directed encouragement, and helpful reflective practice. Susan helped me to define and focus on some clear objectives and by the end of my last session with her I was well on the way to achieving them, something I am not sure I could have done without her input. Look no further for any other coach!"
