The key thing that coaching sessions with me achieve is to take whatever situation you find yourself in right now, whatever is causing difficulty, and to use that difficult or unclear situation to become a stronger, deeper, wiser and more activated person.
About 20 years ago, I went through a significant relationship breakup. The experience opened my heart up to levels of emotional pain to which I'd thought I was immune to. At the same time I was made redundant. My career choice at the time offered me some satisfaction but knew that it wasn’t completely me. Soon afterwards, I decided to retrain and became an NLP practitioner. Later, I began an MA in Existential Psychotherapy.
However, I didn't have enough money to complete my course, but I felt that working with people in a deeply connected, meaningful and exploratory way was what I wanted to do. Intuitively I had a feeling I would come back to this in my mid-forties and...
15 years later (mid-forties...) and I left my role as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sony Pictures Television's TV channels business for Europe, Middle East and Africa. I had also created a London property portfolio business which I continue to own and manage.
But then a series of turbulent life events took place - in just 18 months my marriage ended, I was uprooted from my home, my father died, my career ended, I was a single parent with two young kids and I was starting out all over again. It felt like I was being hit by a truck every 2 weeks. And standing back up again, for more...
"We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us"
My style of coaching has been influenced by my experience of working as a senior executive in the world’s largest media companies and through creating and managing businesses, but more importantly it has been steered by the most valuable awakenings that I have experienced from personal life events - not just at those crunch moments, but also through deep inner dialogue and self-questioning.
Our sessions will be a profound and balanced mixture of self-inquiry using existential and Eastern philosophical questioning to move you away from being reactive and taking you to a more pro-active role. After working on the internal we will turn to the external - the side which will involve the action that you will take, how you will take it and what you will get out of it.
This 2-sided parallel structure of coaching is really helpful in creating the understanding, the certainty, the knowing and the ability for you to move forward with excitement and energy into whatever you do next in your life.
For me, it's fulfilling to fully focus on someone else with the aim of facilitating and inspiring positive change. I want to be a witness to the unshakeable strength that comes only from within. I've seen from a personal perspective and from those that I've worked with how, in life, breathtaking growth phases can occur during what initially are painful or critical situations.
In general we're conditioned into running away from the unknown, into rejecting change and shying away from life’s great challenges. But it's actually these very things that make life worth living and where true growth happens. Although initially painful, crises can also be life-affirming, enhancing and profoundly satisfying events. It's through accepting and welcoming the unknown that reveals to us our courage, and - sometimes completely unexpectedly - gives us a far greater inner peace than before.

Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified as a certified NLP practitioner in 2003.
I spent 15 years in the International Television business and my last role was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sony Pictures Television Networks for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Following that, I trained with the Animas school of Coaching and qualified as a Transformational Coach (accredited by the International Coach Federation)
I have extensive experience of working within major corporations at a senior executive level, as well as owning and managing businesses. The combination of these "traditionally accepted" pathways to living in the world alongside my ongoing learning of who I am, who we are and being open to all possibilities, "good" ones and "bad" ones, is an important part of my coaching experience
