Due to my work experience, I have an particular interest in the emotional well being of children, young people and familes and my coaching business reflects this. I offer coaching in any area but my specialism is parent coaching and youth coaching.
I am passionate about parenting. I have seen too many parents who feel lost and ill equipped to manage some of the challenges of parenting and are then unable to recognise or notice their strengths and build on these and often feel they are no longer 'in charge'. I have seen the impact of parent work / coaching on both the parent and the child/children on improving relationships and well being and restoring harmony to family life. Not to say the next 'challenge' may be just around the corner. Parents have such a huge impact on the lives of their children and are SO important in their children's lives and can make such a difference to childrens outcomes so to coach parents to bring out the best in themselves as parents and their children is a privelege.
My interest in youth coaching comes from my experience and my deep concern that a lot of young people feel hopeless and unmotivated. They have many pressures in their lives and a lot of perceived expectations and I think life can feel very confusing. Coaching can help young people get some clarity in what they want to achieve in life, what is important, how to cope with the demands, percieved or otherwise that iimpact on young peoples lives and can manifest in feeling of anxeity and low mood. I have worked successfully with a lot of young people in my working life and again, to help young people realise their potential and worth is a privelege.
