When there is change around you or happening to you
When we reach a critical junction in our careers or in our personal lives it's often the result of change. Change may be going around us: ithe economy, disruptive technologies, the competitive marketplace or the fortunes of the organisation we work in. Change can also be happening in our personal lives: gaining new qualifications and skills, forming new relationships or breaking up old ones, unexpected health or fitness changes, increased or decreased self-confidence and motivation.
To make the most of change, it's important to take the time to reflect on where you're going and to decide the direction you want to move in and how. Coaching for change is not just about assessing skills and expertise, it's also about helping you to decide what is right for you in the short and the longer term. Working through your thoughts, emotions and behaviour and get to the core of your PURPOSE - why you do what you do, in work and outside - is core to developing your best self and is a key ingredient to finding self-worth and happiness.
When you are stuck and want change
In our personal and working lives, it's important to find our PRESENCE in what we do and how we feel. We can only be our best and make the most of the opportunities available to us if we understand how we ourselves make sense of and respond to the people around us and the situations we face.
Coaching can support you reaching an understanding of what makes you who you are and finding the confidence to express yourself. It can be the first step towards finding strategies for reaching your full potential and putting into practice the dreams and aspirations you have.
When you are overwhelmed by complexity
Nowadays we are all constantly bombarded by information and communications competing for our attention - demanding an immediate response. Email, social media or instant messages can all interrupt 'Deep work', where periods of focus are the only way to complete high-value tasks. Writing a detailed report, completing the study of a challenging academic book, crafting a work of art can all be made more difficult and seemingly complex if our concentration is constantly broken.
Coaching for complexity helps you achieve the balance that's right for you - between the day to day and the long term. That healthy and fulfilling balance is possible if you discover and nourish the approach and style that best suits your temperament and the environment in which you live and work, That's critical to surviving and thriving in the digital world.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Business and Marketing graduate and hold a Diploma in Transformational Coaching from Animas. I am currently studying for a further qualification as an NLP and Hypnotherapy Practitioner.
In the first part of my career, I worked in marketing, sales and strategy roles for leading brands - Philips, IBM-Lotus, HarperCollins Publishers, and the BBC. I then moved into the agency 'world' and over the last 16 years worked in the area of digital communications with industry-leading brand, digital and advertising agencies.
I believe very strongly that everyone has the right to wake up with a sense of excitement about the day ahead and taking advantage of change or making change happen is key to that.
I decided to move into coaching and mentoring because with my skills and experience I want to help people find their own unique purpose and to realise of their own individual presence in all they do.
