About me

I work with clients to reach their full potential and lead a fulfilling life and create positive wellbeing. I work with a diversity of clients from all sectors and stages of their career, whether starting out in a new profession, developing their leadership roles or shaping their next steps. I work with people who are in any type of transition and trying to move from one situation to another. I help them understand what they value, their purpose and who they are at their core. This provides them with strategies to overcome challenges and empower them to move forward through authentic and informed choices.

Living across the UK, Brazil and USA by age 10 taught me the importance of listening to better understand people. I have since lived in London and with over 12 years experience working for a digital media agency, a campaigning charity, an Academy school and youth offending team, I have a broad understanding of the opportunities and challenges people face in both the private and public sectors and across society.

Training, qualifications & experience

Training & Qualifications

I have completed the Co-Active Training Institute Coach Training and I am half way through the CTI Certification Training to move me towards mastery in coaching.

I have over 200 hours of coaching experience working with people of all ages, backgrounds and experience.

Background & Previous Experience

Before coaching, I worked in the Digital Media industry as a planner/buyer for 5 years followed by the Charity sector for over 7 years as a Chief of Staff. Both roles relied heavily on effective people management and ultimately led me into the coaching world. My experience also included governance, HR, finance, executive support, sales, project management, campaigning and operations.

More information about my experience before coaching can be seen via my LinkedIn page.

Client Testimonials

"I started off coaching with one, simple goal: find a new job which I love. But as the sessions went on, it became clear that what I really wanted to do was find contentment and fulfillment in myself. So nearly a year on with the new job acquired, we've developed a coaching dynamic around new exciting goals and self-discovery.  Sophie's consummate skill and professionalism in the coaching environment means she has helped me traverse the difficult, often avoided conversations with a deft, reassuring skill. The sessions leave me feeling energised and unburdened in equal measure, with a clarity of thought and a purposefulness about what to do next. Her approach is methodical but not sterile making it easy to build rapport with her. I wholeheartedly recommend her coaching services to anyone looking to begin a fruitful journey of self-discovery."
Simon Fowler, Partnerships Manager at TikTok

I started working with Sophie as I was planning my return to work as a primary school teacher after an 18 month sabbatical in order to be the main carer for our two young children, during which time I had also left my previous employment. It was suggested to me by my wife and I thought I'd do it as I had the time and nothing to lose from doing it. I thought my case was pretty straight forward and in my heart of hearts wasn't sure what some coaching would do for me, other than help me decide if I should go back full time or part time. What actually took place over the next three months was a number of discussions and exercises that helped rekindle my passion for teaching, my desire to lead, as well as develop me as a better person. I now have a better idea of the kind of person I am that helps me personally and professionally, and feel more confident in going for goals and ambitions that had previously been muted or that I had discounted for myself. As a person who is quite (very) closed, and struggles to talk about emotions, Sophie was excellent at understanding my viewpoints and where I was coming from, and helped me feel comfortable talking about things I hadn't previously been comfortable doing. All in all, I can only recommend her in the strongest terms possible.
Dave Hill, Primary School Teacher

"I was feeling slightly apprehensive about finally asking myself some tough questions but Sophie’s approach instantly put me at ease. Her ability to really listen and interpret what you say to probe in a supportive and constructive way meant I began to understand the root causes in a way I hadn’t before. On the back of Sophie’s help I made some small changes which have had a much wider impact on my overall well-being. Highly recommend Sophie to anyone needing a nudge or a shove!"
