About us

Helping you thrive through change

It is possible, really it is! If you want to make a significant change to your life, or you've already made a change; if you’ve taken a leap of faith, or you've had a change thrust upon you, you'll know this feeling...

After the initial excitement or shock, there's a period of frantic activity as you pull out all the stops... and then you experience a lull, a dip, a pause - and a sense of doubt, anxiety or confusion appears in some form - and you realise you need someone to help you get a clear idea of what comes next, regain your mojo, find your way through and keep on track.

You're in a period of transition - moving from one thing to the next - or you're feeling like you're not moving at all right now! The good news is, there's a tried and tested way through. The blue sky is always there behind the clouds.

Let me know what's brought you to coaching and what you need. Book a free introductory call with me via this link: https://www.singlestep.uk/book-online

Transition coaching - past, present, future

I specialise in transitions - change is the situation you're in and the transition is the human side of change, how it affects us. Transition is a process - you start at the end and move to the beginning! You let go of parts of the past which are not serving you, you make a path through the messy confusion of the middle and you emerge to a new beginning.

My own big life changes included maternity leave, redundancy, promotion, changing careers, starting a business, loss, grief - phew! Some I took in my stride - and some knocked me for six. I've used coaches over the years when I realised, I needed support, to help me make sense of things and move forward.

Now, I coach full time and specialise in transitions because I can to help you move through it more easily, and faster, than I sometimes did!

Clients tell me working with me helps them:

·     feel clear and more in balance

·     make plans and achieve goals that matter

·     find the will to act on decisions

·     feel accountable and keep on track

·     feel energised and get things done

·     have lower stress levels and sleep better

·     quit over-thinking, let go and move forward

and feel more confident in themselves and their choices.

Working with me – putting first things first

If you might like to work with me, your first step is to get in touch.

Book yourself a free introductory call at a time that suits you by copying and pasting this link to my website: https://www.singlestep.uk/book-online

Before the call, we'll exchange emails. You can let me know a bit more about what’s brought you to coaching and what you’d like to get out of it.

On the call, we can get to know each other a little more. We’ll have a no obligation conversation to help you decide if I’m the right coach for you.

Fees and Structure

“After every session I was motivated to take action.”

I provide personalised support and vary my approach, model, tools and techniques according to what serves you best. My fee is £750 for my signature ‘In with the new!” intensive three-month one-to-one coaching programme:

  • Phase one - Discovery
    • Self-audit review
    • What you want to achieve & what’s stopping you
    • Co-create a plan with actionable steps to achieve your main desire
  • Phase two - Direction
    • Changing the story you tell yourself
    • Letting go, using your purpose & strengths
    • Keeping on track & yourself out of the way
  • Phase three - Drive
    • Accepting & embracing the new
    • Finding and using will to act
    • Energy boosting motivation skills

This isn't going to break the bank and it's time you did something for yourself. Give yourself permission to take some time and space to work out what's next for you. And by making a financial commitment, you'll feel more invested in the coaching process and get better results.

If you’d like to go ahead, we'll decide together how often and when you'd like to meet. Over three months, we'll spend 8 sessions working together one-on-one, with support in between sessions and including a progress review session after the programme ends.

Just because transition is a process, doesn't mean it isn't personal – you can choose to have entirely bespoke coaching sessions – starting at £125 per session (min. 3 sessions).

Working with me - testimonials:

“As a result of our collaboration, I have been able to reach a point where I am now able to set up my own business. I have also benefitted from extensive input, feedback and support which has enhanced my management position in my daily role. Polly is professional, personable and takes a practical approach to achieving outstanding results. I am very grateful and will engage with Polly again for her support and guidance.”

"Exploring things with Polly, it’s given me time to think, reprioritise and try out ways to do things differently. I’m noticing that I now make time for myself and I’m starting to take better care of myself – so I can keep well and help others. I’m now able to relax more and let others help and share responsibility. This is big for me!"

"I felt lost and felt I'd lost who I was when I lost my job and lost my sense of who I am too. I'm using our time together to talk things through and to think about ways to make sure I'm on the right track. My old self is coming back - and there's more to my life now than just work."

"She enabled me to look at my situation from a different perspective and achieve things I would not have achieved on my own. If you are looking for a good coach who is also an understanding and caring person, Polly is definitely the one to start working with."

Why I coach

Coaching full time, I specialise in transitions, as you know. Over the years, particularly in times of significant change or challenge, I found being coached very helpful professionally and personally. My purpose is to help others – when I discovered that, things slotted into place.

In my practice, I combine learnings from being coached myself, my rich experiences in corporate life and the lessons life’s taught me, with learnings from ongoing development workshops and learnings from my clients, my network of fellow coaches and from my coach supervisors to develop my own coaching practice.

It’s a lot of learning – and it’s a privilege to be able to use it to help others. Hope you choose to get in touch.
