If you're feeling stuck, want solution-focused and goal-focused help, then please read on. I help most clients achieve their coaching goals in just 3-8 sessions, many in just 3.

Our relationship with ourselves determines our relationships with others. Therefore, I successfully help my clients with the following specialist areas via life coaching in Stockport and globally via Skype video:

CONFIDENCE & SELF-ESTEEM - usually 3-4 sessions to resolve, chronically low self-esteem would likely take more sessions

RELATIONSHIPS & MARRIAGE - 3-8 sessions usually, depending on the severity of the situation and how much effort you put in

What Happens During A Coaching Session?

Coaching can be as varied as its alternatives, counselling and psychotherapy.

My coaching style integrates coaching techniques, counselling skills, behavioural psychology, neuropsychology and modern research.

You control the agenda. Each session is tailored to suit your needs. I question skilfully and listen carefully.  I quickly and intuitively identify what’s really going on, consciously and subconsciously, allowing me to build a road map of where I need to take you including the stops we need to make along the way. By coupling this with my knowledge, I help you to find and implement simple solutions to achieve your goals.

My coaching style is both directive and non-directive, depending on what each client needs in each moment.  (An example of directive therapy is the psychodynamic approach that Relate use, which was founded by Sigmund Freud, and an example of non-directive therapy is the person-centred approach founded by Carl Rogers.)  So when you need me to be a bit more hands on (directive), I am, but otherwise you are in the driving seat (non-directive) as you find the answers within.

You are the expert on your life, more than any other person.  Fact!  I know you have the answers inside so I help you to find them for yourself.  This means you practise skills that will serve you well for the rest of your life, and most importantly, put you in control of your life, your growth and your happiness.

By the end of the coaching journey, you’ll have achieved your objectives, made fundamental changes within yourself and your relationships, and you’ll have a “toolkit” for life.

This is a solution-focused and proactive, results driven approach.

About Me

I am Sam Owen, relationships and life coach, psychologist and author. I am also frequently asked to act as a relationship expert for TV, radio and big brands. Face-To-Face Coaching and Skype Coaching

Face-to-face coaching sessions take place at the Bramhall practice in South Manchester / Cheshire pictured above.

Skype coaching is used by local clients as well as national and international clients.  It’s convenient and cheaper.

Clients looking to improve or save their marriage, or other relationship, will come alone or together or do a mixture of individual and couples sessions.  All approaches work brilliantly and the individual and couples sessions cost the same so that the decision is based on what’s right for you.

Ask about unsociable hours if you're not sure I work them. I will always try my best to accommodate you.

Coaching packages and fees can be found here. You can pay using alternative methods such as online banking, and it's always a good idea to have a consultation first, anyway. These packages and prices are there for transparency for your sake.
