About me

I’m Sally Learoyd and my passion is helping people achieve greater influence and impact through their work. It’s a topic that has long been close to my heart.  In my own career and through many years’ experience of supporting others, I have seen the difference it can make. For individuals, it allows you to be your best self more of the time, to make a difference and feel more fulfilled in life. For organisations, the gain is the unlocking of talent and the extra contribution this generates.

My background:

My own experience of the world of work includes over 20 years as Human Resources Director in a diverse range of commercial organisations from PLCs (FTSE 100 and FTSE 250) to small owner-managed businesses. Throughout I’ve worked closely with managers and directors including at Board level to help them and their organisations evolve, mature and rise to meet new opportunities and challenges. My track record in business includes delivering step change improvements in the skills of leaders, organisational culture, employee engagement, talent development and succession.

My coaching approach:

I blend coach training and the skills of creating rapport & trust with individuals with a deep understanding of management and leadership in organisations. I identify the distinctive strengths my clients already have and can leverage as well as helping them identify and address the areas that are holding them back.
I invite my coachees to see the bigger organizational picture and raise their awareness of stakeholder needs. And I tailor my coaching support to meet their particular needs be that:

  • challenging and helping change limiting beliefs;
  • quieting an inner critic;
  • developing new behavioural skills, where I may share job search and interview techniques and/or leadership and communications techniques to expand their options.

Additional information

I provide a free introductory call (by phone, Zoom or Microsoft Teams) to explore the interests and aims for which you’re seeking support.  Experience has shown me that this introductory session performs two essential roles:

It helps me check that I have the skills and experience to meet your particular needs, and It helps you decide whether I'm a good fit for you.
My coaching services are delivered online by Zoom or Microsoft TEAMS in sessions lasting 90 minutes each.  Experience has shown me that an hour is typically not sufficient to allow for the fullest possible exploration of the issues at hand. Plus, a 90-minute session helps my clients generate a follow-on plan they can action between sessions so they can maximise the value they gain from coaching.  Unlike many other coaching providers, I also offer between-session email support such as providing resources or materials to help clients with their reflection and learning or to assist them with investigating options and action planning.

My coaching services are priced per session with the number of sessions dependent on the nature of each client’s situation and goals. Discounted rates are available for individuals working in the not-for-profit sector. Please get in touch to find out more.
