Training, qualifications & experience

During my twenties, I ran a successful catering business including a Wine Bar and Restaurant. After training as a counsellor, I then went on to complete an OU degree in Psychology.

My professional background includes a BA in Education, diplomas in Health & Social Care, Management, Complementary therapy and Life Style Coaching. Professional work includes nursing in casualty working with acute pain medicine, as well as community-related experience, such as talking to young people in a school setting.

The experience of working in a wide variety of professional settings along with what I have learned through educational and personal research has given me a great insight into how people can overcome difficult circumstances.

Through my interest in Neuroscience and NLP, I discovered Life Coaching and soon after began training to become a certified Life Coach and EFT practitioner.

This wide variety of professional settings gave me a huge insight into how people cope(or don't) in crisis, and what skills they need to overcome difficult circumstances. My interest in Neuroscience and NLP took me down the road to train as a Life Coach in 2011 and 2012. I am now a Certified Life Coach and EFT practitioner.

Sometimes things come along in life and just knock us sideways and most of my clients have been glad that they have been working with me when this has happened, as they feel they have extra support. But this might not always be the case.
Due to financial or time restrictions, you may simply be unable to continue with your life coaching journey. If this is the case, you can feel safe and secure that I will respect and support your decision to stop life coaching or take a break. Rest assured if you are a client of mine I will always have your best interest at heart.
Life coaching sessions can take place:

• Via a video link with Facetime, Zoom or Skype
• On the phone
• Face to Face: in your office, home or other agreed on, outside location.
• Or a combination of the above.
Most of my clients like the convenience of life coaching via phone or video link as it is the most time-efficient. However, it does strengthen the therapeutic bond when there is at least one or two face to face meetings during the coaching journey.

Further information

A Note on Confidentiality
The relationship between the coaching client and the coach is fully confidential. I will treat all the information which you share with me as completely private. Being fully compliant with the Data Protection Act I will never share information unless legally bound to do so. (In such cases of harm to yourself or others).

I fully recognise that I am in a position of trust to have such access to your personal life details, I will honour this. In the past, I have worked with some high profile clients and always acknowledge theirs and every person’s anonymity.??I do ask the clients for permission to write handwritten notes, this is a form of “aid memoir” and aids the coaching process. However, these notes are your notes. Therefore after the coaching journey has been completed the notes are handed back to you the client or are destroyed.

To provide my clients with extra security when working in their home or office setting I do have a fully up to date DBS check to show that I have the highest police clearance. A copy of this can be seen on request.
