How can I help you?
In short, I help people to be themselves, wholeheartedly and with a deep deep acceptance and understanding of exactly who they are.
A self-confessed introvert, I do tend to work with fellow introverts, celebrating our quieter nature and finding ways to navigate through this life, honouring our true, authentic self.
Speaking from personal experience, from a very young age it felt like I was reading somebody else's script, never quite understanding my true nature, always feeling like a fish out of water. It wasn't until my early middle age that I really started to do the work to understand and accept my need for space, quiet, pauses, time, and freedom from trying to be something that I was not.
So that is my work, to support and help you be you and to see where that wonderful journey can take you. Together we create that space to pause and reflect on life's journey, reactivating your own unique strengths, meaning and purpose in this world.
I completely understand that one size does not fit all so offer a slightly different to the usual model of coaching.
Some of my clients love a mix of coaching and mentoring and I love this as I get to walk alongside you in your journey and you also get the benefit of my journey also. As a coach, I will help you to uncover your own true authentic self, through deep questioning, reflection and some super coaching tools we can use together. As a mentor, I walk alongside you on your journey, a shoulder to lean on and a leg up at times if needed.
I know from experience, this journey of discovery takes time, so if you are looking for a quick fix, I might not be the best match.
I want my clients to have time to put these deep changes into practice, to take that time to fully understand, embrace and celebrate who they are. So at the beginning of your journey with me, we will agree together the number of hours that we work together, on a retainer basis.
Those hours can be used by either face-to-face sessions, online zoom meetings, emails, really whatever works for you and at a pace and speed that works for you. So lots of flexibility.

As a professional, qualified coach, I follow strict governance and guidelines stated by my professional coaching body, the EMCC. I am committed to ongoing CPD and my work is fully insured and supervised. My work is really around creating some freedom, working through areas where we may feel a little stuck, to create a refuge of stillness, peace, and contentment.

Stillness, Presence, Space, my work as a mindfulness teacher at Alder Tree Mindfulness
Walk alongside a river or body of water and you are likely to come across a grove of Alder Trees. Not showy trees, they don't grow very tall but they hold a little bit of magic within their roots. The wonderful Alder has the ability to restore, enrich, and nourish the ground in which they grow, allowing other plants and trees to flourish and thrive.
The story of the Alder inspires my work and coaching, to support others to thrive through life's adversities and challenges and to find stillness, peace, contentment, and joy in life.
At Alder Tree Mindfulness we offer free 30 minute online guided meditations every Wednesday from 1900 to 1930.

Alder Tree Mindfulness The Podcast
A weekly podcast is available to listen to on our website or all the major podcast platforms.
I am passionate about creating community and support and this has become more imperative during the pandemic. Whilst we cannot be in person at the moment, our sessions and coaching have continued online. I keep our group sessions small in number so as to create a safe, welcoming, and intimate community of support and commonality. We have a public page on Facebook and a private group on MeWe for all that attend our workshops and coaching so that you be assured of ongoing support.
We have also recently launched our membership offer which provides a wonderful ongoing wellbeing resource. For £12 per month, you can get access to our online meditation library and also our monthly 90-minute mindfulness session (currently live on zoom), as well as discounts for our longer courses and workshops. An affordable and accessible way to learn mindfulness and join a supportive community. More information can be found on our website.
Life through Covid-19
During this challenging time, we have pledged to offer as much support as we can to our community and beyond. All coaching sessions can be held either online via secure zoom meeting, or if you prefer face to face sessions, this can be arranged at our Covid Secure offices in Derby, free parking, lots of room, a safe and welcoming environment (subject to current restrictions and lockdown measures)
Throughout the pandemic, we are offering free guided meditation sessions every Wednesday evening from 1900 to 1930.
If you have been affected financially by the pandemic but still want to access our services, please contact me, let's talk, if we can remove any barriers to you accessing support through this time we will do.
