About me

I help people with productivity challenges to improve their skills so that they attain their work objectives.

My practice is informed by my work as a Chief Strategy Officer, facilitating strategy development and implementation in an institutional setting. The features of this practice which translate well into coaching include enabling the client: -

1.    to focus on imagining an idealised future state

2.    to develop insights into their context which enable or constrain action

3.    to develop goals to strive for and thereby close the gap between the current and the ideal future state, and

4.    to develop scenarios to test assumptions and calibrate risk

I use an eclectic range of tools to help clients dealing with work challenges relating to productivity.

Typical issues dealt with in coaching include:-

1.    client overwhelm due to conflicting demands on time

2.    difficulty in identifying priorities

3.    dealing with a poor life/work balance

4.    realising and fulfilling potential

5.    feeling stuck in a current work role

6.    seeking to change career direction

7.    dealing with imposter syndrome

My aim through the coaching will be to partner with you to facilitate new thinking on your part to realise the goals which you have set for yourself.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have degrees in Classics and Law (BA, LLB University of Cape Town, LLM University of Edinburgh). I have worked as a law lecturer, registrar at a university and, most recently as a Chief Strategy Officer. I now devote my time full time to coaching.

I have a course in Foundations of Executive Coaching (University of Cape Town) and a course in Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE2) Foundation (Axelos).
