Hi, I’m Rachel, a Transformational Coach offering sessions via Skype, Face-time or phone.
My motivation and enjoyment of coaching is aligned to a strongly held belief that everybody has it within themselves to make a positive change and achieve the things in life that matter most to them.
Having worked in the public and voluntary sector for over 14 years, I have been privileged to work with people from many walks of life, and in my experience, I have come across two fundamental traits that determine whether people make positive life decisions and/or achieve their goals:
- Successful / content / happier people appear to go about their life with a sense of clarity about who they really are, and that what they wish to change, achieve or improve is aligned what they really want. Too often, my experience has been that people move through life based simply on who they feel they should be, or what they should do as opposed to who they are
- We often get in our own way! We build a wall around ourselves that feels safe, but keeps us stuck
Through my work within the field of mental health, I recall a client telling me that taking the steps needed (towards something they very much desired), was like standing in front of a wall, and whilst every positive thought allowed them to remove one brick, the self-doubt meant they had to put three bricks back; these self sabotaging behaviours prevent so many of us moving forward with something, no matter how big or small.
I feel really passionate about people climbing over their wall.
I will work with you to help you uncover what you really want, and identify the barriers that are preventing you from getting there. I will work with you to enhance your belief in your own ability, gently challenge the unhelpful behaviours, and champion and celebrate those that move you closer to what you wish for; all within a coaching relationship that values equality, trust, honesty, and (something quite important to me) a little humour.
...And if you choose not to climb the wall (because in working together you decide you never wanted to climb it in the first place and was simply doing it because you felt you should) Well, that’s absolutely fine also. Maybe you can find a new wall worth climbing.
What to expect in working together:
I believe in a beginning, a middle and and an end to sessions, or our work together, that helps offer clarity and a sense of direction.
To help promote this, I work within the framework of coaching in respect of a question-based approach however, I work considerably with refections and observations in sessions as to initially help bring into awareness, and examine what the present holds for you; this may focus on the language you use or any notable themes that may emerge to help establish what you want
From here, and dependant on what feels the right for you, we may draw on some visualisation techniques as well as variety of other coaching tools & theories that will help you identify, and move through any barriers, as to illuminate the path forward.
Training, qualifications & experience
During my career, I have worked alongside people with mental health problems, people with no place to call home, people fleeing gangs and domestic violence, people who rely heavily on substances, and people who are simply lonely and isolated. More recently, I have been working within the field of health and wellbeing; drawing on a variety of techniques to promote behavioural change in the improvement of health, fitness and wellbeing. Now in a more strategic role, I'm currently developing health and wellbeing initiatives to improve the health of whole communities.
Throughout my career I have managed wonderful teams of people and led on projects that have all had the ultimate aim of improving the lives of people. I have therefore been part of many an individual journey, and have witnessed truly inspiring events that have all come from the individual themselves... and that is the essence of coaching. A process under-pinned by the belief that you have all the resources available to you, and the potential to make the change.

- Single sessions: £45.00 (up-to 60mins)
- 3-month programme: £335.00
The programme is for those wanting to make sustainable change in an area of their life, as opposed to addressing a singular issue for which several single sessions may be adequate. The programme is inclusive of 8hrs of direct coaching. The programme also includes up to four 10-minute 'check-ins' over the 3-month period.
*For phone, face-time or Skype clients, the 8hrs can be used flexibly and formed of sessions lasting between 30-60-minutes as to suit you.
*For face-to-face clients, sessions are only offered for persons living within a 5-mile radius of an RH10 postcode. Sessions are delivered in a community location and therefore may incur an additional charge. Sessions delivered face-to-face as part of the programme will be only be offered as 8x 1hr sessions.
