Helen Daniel - Business and Personal Coach
Fareham, Hampshire, PO16

About us

Hi, sometimes we need to take some time out to focus on ourselves to work on something that might be holding us back or stopping us from feeling totally fulfilled.  It might be that we are trying to achieve a better work-life balance,  managing burn out,  trying to keep motivated or just needing some direction.  We might be on the cusp of or going through a career or a life transition. To move forward, it can be helpful to have someone independent to guide us through our thought processes, to listen and to "walk alongside" us.   Coaching can do this for you.

My approach is relaxed, calm and friendly. I am agnostic in the tools and techniques that I use with a focus on building on strengths and values. In particular, I love the outdoors and find getting out and about in the fresh air enables a different perspective freeing the mind and giving you the space and time to think through your own thoughts and solutions to any challenges.

Having had a lengthy leadership career in IT and Telecoms, my coaching has been primarily with IT professionals and leaders, but I work across many sectors and with people from different backgrounds.  I have supported people with:

  • Preparing for difficult conversations and meetings
  • Planning for presentations, meetings and performance reviews
  • Building confidence and resilience
  • Managing and planning for career moves and progressions
  • Dealing with workplace conflict
  • Improving work life balance,  managing and preventing stress, overwhelm and burnout
  • Managing life changes (eg.  divorce, empty nest, mid-life transitions, retirement)
  • Dealing with feelings of work isolation and improving engagement

Here are a couple of small comments from two clients that I have worked with recently:

“As someone who had never had any coaching, I was not sure what to expect or even if this was for me. Helen immediately put me at ease and I enjoyed our sessions immensely. She gave me the opportunity to explore and think about aspects of my career in a completely different way. I would highly recommend Helen to anyone who is thinking of coaching, without doubt you will benefit from every session you have” (Laura, Project Manager)

“You have helped me overcome the toughest of professional struggles”. (Neha, Finance Director).

If you think coaching might be the way forward for you and would you like to find out more please get in touch with me for further details or to arrange a free introductory Discovery session : by email on helen.daniel@pinkpeppercoaching.co.uk.

Training, qualifications & experience

After spending more than 33 years in various leadership roles in IT & telecommunications,  I engaged in a Leader as Coach course at work and as result I found myself focussing more and more on mentoring and supporting my colleagues.    I found this tremendously rewarding and this inspired me to commit to studying a PGCert in Business and Personal Coaching with Barefoot Coaching and the University of Chester.   I left my corporate role in July 2021 to focus on coaching.  Whilst I have worked and work with a variety of clients of all ages and in different environments, and embrace many ways of delivering coaching, my learnings so far have taken me towards a particular interest in working with neurodivergent clients and also towards coaching outdoors (where using the freedom of the outdoor environment opens doors to new thinking).

I am a mother of two grown up sons (who have recently left home),  a dog lover,  an enthusiastic hiker and mountain walker, cyclist and traveller, determined golf player and an avid learner of languages.

Member of the International Coaching Federation and a Barefoot Trained Coach (ICF Accredited course).

Ongoing study in PGCert in Business and Personal Coaching  (University of Chester & Barefoot Coaching).

BA Hons in European Management Science (University of Kent at Canterbury)

Coaching Neurodivergent Clients (Barefoot Coaching) and Deep Dive Neurodiversity Training (Gold Mind Neurodiversity)

Additional information

Free Introductory Meeting

I offer an initial 45 minute introductory “Discovery” session which is complimentary;  there is absolutely no obligation to progress beyond this. At this session we will discuss what you might want to achieve from coaching, it will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to understand if coaching with me is going to be right for you.  If you think that it is then we will agree how you want to take this forward.

All coaching sessions and fees will be tailored to your individual requirements.

Typically, the following fees would apply:

  • Face-to-face sessions: from £65 per hour (this will depend on the location)
  • Online (Zoom, Teams, Skype) or by telephone:  £55 per hour
  • Outdoor Coaching:  from £65 per hour.  Location within 30 miles of Portsmouth but on arrangements and subject to agreement (Hampshire, West Sussex).

A session will normally be 1- 1½ hours duration but will be tailored to meet your requirements.

The overall duration of our coaching relationship will depend on your specific needs.  As an example, what seems to work well for many clients is a series of 6 coaching sessions over a period of 3 to 6 months. Discounts will apply for 3 or more coaching sessions when booked and paid for in advance.

There are no hidden costs and fees will include all preparatory work, and ad hoc email support between sessions as agreed. Any fees for the use of online tools where appropriate will be payable and are only used on agreement with you.

You may cancel any session or group of sessions at any time although fees will normally be charged for a session if this is not cancelled with at least 24 hours notice.
