MSc (MAPP)

About me

I have been helping people become better versions of themselves for around 20 years. I have worked with individuals and teams at all levels up to CEO, in a wide range of settings, including business, fundraising, sport and education. I have worked independently as a Psychotherapist and Employers Assistance Counsellor.

I am now a coach, trainer and Positive Psychology Practitioner, with a particular interest in mental health, relationships and communicating more effectively.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy and a Master's Degree in Applied Positive Psychology.  I have also been trained in various methods of acting and been involved in community theatre for around 25 years.

Finding the right coach is of course important. I suggest that we initially have a brief telephone conversation and then meet face to face to establish if we are a good match.  I also run open an in house training.

What other People are saying:-

'This course has taught me so much more than just how to improve my public speaking skills. I met interesting people from a variety of careers, which made the day all the more enjoyable and interesting. Essentially, I benefited from all round coaching, whilst also getting much better at speaking and presenting. One of the best training courses I've been on.'

Kate Elliott - Head of Sixth Form, Blackheath High School

'I used Peter's services to help me find more direction in my career and ultimately transition to a new role. Early on, Peter had some good ideas for exploring my character strengths and improving my focus. Peter helped me identify and set meaningful goals that would bring me closer to where I wanted to be. Peter gently nudged me when I was procrastinating and help me overcome what was essentially a fear of the unknown. As he was available throughout the process by email and telephone, I felt that I could rely on him for useful feedback when I needed it. The process culminated in several job interviews and ultimately a new position I was very happy with.

R.F. - London

'Personally, I have always had an enormous fear of public speaking and with much trepidation attended Peter's Speaking With Ease in Public workshop. I found the workshop hugely beneficial for me. It was great fun. It was innovative in it's delivery and incredibly helpful to me in building my confidence. A year on, the workshop still resonates with me now. I continue to tap into my learning for that day.

As HR manager, I was keen to roll this out in my organisation. Peter has run a number of these for us now. The feedback received has been resoundingly positive. Participants have said that they enjoyed the different activities. They loved the fun and humour in the day and valued the whole group comes together to support each other. Participants have also said they liked the focus on strengths which has helped them significantly in building their confidence. I can the difference that this workshop has made. I would not hesitate to recommend this to other organisations'
