About me

I am a highly qualified and experienced life and wellbeing coach who can help you to focus on and improve your mental health, psychological and physical wellbeing.  I have worked as an organisational psychologist for over 16 years and also work as a wellbeing at work and expat coach.

If you are feeling stressed, low, unfocused or unhealthy you will find that wellbeing coaching can help you either at work, at home, or both.  I can help you to find solutions to issues that you bring to your coaching sessions whether they be about finding more purpose and meaning in your life; making changes to your life, behaviours or career; becoming more healthy, in mind or body; focusing on your overall personal development; or, simply not quite knowing what's wrong, finding out what that is and then doing something about it.

How can working with me help you?

Wellbeing coaching focuses on the whole of you or just the bits of your life that you need help with.

I can help you to concentrate on your mental and physical health and all things contributing to your well being and personal development.

Perhaps you feel as though you need more meaning and purpose in your life or you're just not experiencing as much joy as you used to. Or are you finding a work or personal relationship difficult? Perhaps you're just feeling stressed, demotivated and don't feel like you have time to spend on you because you're too busy working 24/7 or caring for everybody else except yourself.

The coaching relationship we work in together, will enable you to spend some space and time working out how to regain balance so that you can feel less stressed and make choices that are right for you. Whilst engaging in wellbeing coaching you can reflect and refocus on how you want to optimise the balance of welbeing in your life.

What to expect in your first session

First of all, we can meet for what is called a 'discovery' or 'chemistry' session. This free, 30 minute session is designed for us to get to know each other so that you can decide whether you feel as though you would be happy to begin working with me. During this session I will explain exactly what coaching is, my approach to coaching and some of the details about frequency of sessions, fees and so on. You can also tell me broadly what brings you to coaching but we can explore that more thoroughly in your first session. There is absolutely no obligation to begin working with me after this conversation. For more information please take a look at the FAQs and other sections of my website; you'll also find my fees on there. You'll see a link to this on this page.

What previous coaching clients have said about working with me

'I found this coaching to have been the most significant development intervention I have undertaken throughout my career. Penny helped me to see situations from a completely different perspective and supported me in eradicating some of my own blockers that were holding me back. I would highly recommend Penny, she is incredibly supportive whilst still remaining impartial and challenging. More importantly the coaching has had a real impact for me in both my professional and personal life, by far the most worthwhile investment of time.' Emma, Head of Service, Law Firm

'Having Penny as my coach has been a Godsend. My wellbeing has certainly improved as I now make time for myself to enjoy my hobbies again. There is now time for work and a time to relax! She has also helped me organise my working day better with “chunks” of time allocated to different aspects of the work which helps me to focus on specific tasks. We have spoken about different ways of managing stress levels and understanding that there are some things you just can't possibly control and putting things into perspective. Big thank you Penny I will miss our sessions.' Kathryn, GP Practice Manager

'Working with Penny was beneficial beyond my expectations. The sessions allowed for easy flowing two way dialogue leading to reflections, decisions and actions on my part. This gave me a sense of empowerment and ownership. I particularly liked the “homework”... well the notion of walking away from each session and committing to the follow up of what came to fruition during the session. I liked the flexibility of this being scheduled to suit both parties and the fact that it was remote so it was easy to be coached and not feel like it was counselling.' Joanna, Consultant

Additional information

You can call me for free for a 30 minute 'discovery and chemistry' call when I can explain what coaching is, including the practicalities such as frequency of sessions and so on.  We can also get to know each other a little better and I can learn from you what brings you to coaching at this time.  You can then decide whether you would like to work with me and ask any questions you might have at that point.

After that, I can assess, in partnership with you, how many sessions you might need and what the fees would be.  Please note that I offer a discount to key workers.

I am able to work out of working hours and at weekends.  We can talk about this during your free discovery call.
