Hi! I’m Olivia.
I am a certified transformational life coach. My mission in life is to help those that feel lost, uncertain and inauthentic to find out who they really are, what they want to do and how to do it. I am passionate about supporting people who are committed to working on themselves at a deeper level, setting them free to:
- Get clarity on what they want to do and who they want to be
- Discover what is holding them back from achieving their vision
- Overcome negative thoughts and limiting beliefs
- Take action and build an authentic life that makes them feel engaged, happy and fulfilled
I provide a supportive space for my clients where they are safe to explore their thoughts and gain clarity around their true self. My clients are empowered to work out the right next step for them and have the courage and confidence to take action towards a more fulfilling life that is aligned with what they truly value. Clients come to me to support them through various events in their life, including but not limited to:
- Career change
- Career moves
- Re-training and education
- Work-life balance
- Working with a long term health condition
I have personal experience of going through significant career changes, living and working with long-term health conditions and working within both the public and private sectors. Additionally I have experience in recruitment.
Life is too short to stay in role, organisation or industry that you hate or brings you no joy. You have the power to change things. Sometimes we could do with a little help to work out where we are going or how to get there. Sometimes we might need some support to be able to see we are good enough, we are ok and we are doing what we should be doing. If you are looking for clarity in life, get in touch with me today!
Training, qualifications & experience
Diploma in Transformational Coaching from Animas Centre for Coaching (accredited by the ICF and AC).
I live in the Cambridgeshire Fens with my partner and our 2 dogs. I am a certified transformational life coach and I am passionate about empowering others to live a life aligned with their values and beliefs.
I am no stranger to career change. My first career was in law enforcement as frontline police officer. After 9 years I left and worked in the corporate sector as an HR Manager.
There are a combination of reasons for my career changes. I suffered with ill health; PTSD, anxiety and depression in the police, and unexplained chronic pain when working in HR. In both careers, despite having success, I felt like I was acting the role of someone I should be, rather than being my true self. I didn't know who my true self was, I had never taken the time to meet her.
One day, I knew the time had come to find out who I was and what I was truly capable of. Having had some experience of workplace coaching I retrained as life coach and found my calling. I now work as a life coach, helping people to find clarity in their own lives.
The impact of coaching - a personal experience
My personal experience of being coached is that it has had a huge impact on my life. I finally feel like I know who I am and what I like. I have broken down some of the barriers I put up, I have taken risks, and I feel like I have purpose and direction in my life. My confidence has grown and I have learnt new things about myself. Here are just a few real life examples of the impact coaching has had on me.
- I left my job, retrained as a life coach, and set up my coaching practice.
- I learnt how to build a website and run marketing campaigns.
- I pushed myself to do things that scare me, such as climbing and ziplining in spite of a lifelong fear of heights.
- I spoke to people and built connections, a challenge for someone who can be shy and very introvert.
- I stood up on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo and spoke confidently and without preparation for 5 minutes at a live recording of a podcast in front of 3,500 people. This led to me to discover a love of public speaking. This episode has since been released to their 19.5 million listeners.
I did all of the above, but coaching gave me the confidence, motivation and belief that I could.
Why have a life coach?
Coaching provides a non-judgemental and confidential space for you to talk through your thoughts. It is non-advisory but instead enables you to be able to see things from varying perspectives and find the best solution for you.
Life coaches help you to recognise barriers to your success and work out how to overcome them. They keep you motivated and focused on what you want to achieve. Importantly, life coaches are independent – the opinions and advice of friends and family, whilst well-meaning, can impact you making your own decisions in life. A life coach is by your side supporting you to achieve your dreams.
Life coaching is no longer the exclusive domain of celebrities, athletes and CEO’s of top performing companies – life coaches work with people of all ages and from all walks of life.
How it works
My coaching sessions are confidential and completely non-judgemental. They will be led by you and what you want to work on, but I will use techniques to provide you with clarity and empower you to find solutions.
I use a range of techniques including cognitive behavioural coaching, future pacing, person-centred theory, transactional analysis and narrative coaching. These are powerful techniques that help to unlock your ideas and find the right solution for you. I trained with Animas Centre for Coaching and I am certified in Transformational Coaching.
I coach online using Zoom or, alternatively, I coach on the phone. I work with clients internationally.
How long I work with clients depends on their individual needs. I work with some clients continuously on a weekly basis, other clients I work with over a defined duration. It takes time and commitment to put in the work required to see a transformation through coaching. That’s why I work with dedicated clients who are committed to the coaching process. The more you put into it, the more you get out.
My coaching sessions last 60 minutes each. The content of the sessions is tailored to your needs and provides you with the coaching support required to achieve sustainable results.
I do not take on any clients without first having a complimentary discovery call. Discovery calls last around 45 minutes and they are vital for me to find out more about your coaching needs and for you to find out more about my coaching style and approach.
