‘The wound is the place where the Light enters you.’ Rumi
I have a holistic approach to coaching. Life has many challenges big and small, I believe we are designed to survive physically and emotionally which has been the essence of life for millions of years. Growth and protection are two parts of the various survival mechanisms. Gravitating to a life-sustaining signal characterizes a growth response and moving away from a threatening signal characterizes a protection response. That means it is natural to feel happy, fulfilled, full of energy, joyful as well as sad, lost, rundown, angry.
Each of us is unique and an awareness of that individual mechanism of growth and protection is the key to our well-being. Over the last 9 years I have always felt humble to be a part of my clients’ journey of self-discovery and self-empowerment.
My career began in academia: while in Russia, I combined Doctoral studies with lecturing, and gaining a Ph.D in History. Since 1992 – when I came to Britain – and after a brief spell at the BBC, the University of Westminster and the School of Slavonic and East European studies I have worked largely in finance, mainly within the housing sector. A common thread during this period was a coaching style which I brought to my sessions with university students, and used with the teams that I managed within finance departments. Yet I did not know the huge potential of Coaching as one of the best modes of intervention in releasing the internal potential until I was given a coach in 2005 to help me with some challenges that I had within my team. That experience had a huge positive life-changing impact on me and my outlook.
I believe coaching is one of the main keys to unlocking everyone’s inner potential to be who they want to be. Besides the formal coaching qualifications and experience, I am the permanent student at the school of nature and life. My deepest gratitude goes to those who taught me throughout my life formally or informally and made me who I am to pass the parcel of joyful living.

Areas of coaching I deal with
I believe that there is a right coach for everyone and to find that person is an important step. For this reason I offer a free 30 min face to face session in my North London practice for you to determine whether I am the one.
In that session, alongside clarifying any query you might have about me or my style of coaching you would know intuitively if our collaboration can access your inner strength to navigate towards where you want to be.
The following sessions will be online or by telephone, unless required otherwise.
My hourly rate is £75.
