About us

I believe that work should not define who you are - but it should positively enhance your whole life. All my Clients want personal development and share a desire for improving business and personal performance aligned with wanting a clearer focus on what is important in their own lives and how they can achieve this.

My coaching practice is called the Coaching Zone Ltd and I have two areas of specialism called; businessLIFE and careerLIFE.

businessLIFE

Running and leading your business can be exciting, liberating and fulfilling – but it can also be lonely, stressful and all-encompassing of your energy/time. It doesn't have to be this way, you can take control and make it work for you.

My business coaching serves businesspeople across a spectrum of organisations typically SME Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, Self-Employed/Freelancers and Senior Leaders.

If you are a businessperson, we can reframe negativity and improve mindset. Clients have come to me experiencing Stress & Burnout, Low Self Esteem, Imposter Syndrome, Fear of Failure, Conflict Management, Anxiety, Delegation, Perfectionism, Procrastination, Overwhelm, Lack of Confidence, Self-Doubt and those acknowledging a Low Motivation.

We also can create forward thinking strategies looking at Business Vision, Succession Planning, Exit Strategy, Financial Health, Business Strategy, Remote Working Motivation, Innovation Control and Personal Brand Profile Sharpening.

careerLIFE

Career paths often unfold organically and can create its own natural energy and direction - but this can lead you to a place where you would otherwise not choose to be. You should be in control of your career in order to complement and enhance your life.

My career coaching serves clients that are typically those seeking proactive career development, aspiring entrepreneurs, people 'stuck' in the corporate rat race and people wanting to develop portfolio careers or sharpen their personal brand profile.

Fees

Discovery Call - All my work starts with a relaxed and informal Discovery call, which is our first opportunity to get to know one another. I suggest allowing 30-45 minutes and I do not charge for my time. During this call you can share about your world, your desired outcomes and it allows you space to ask any questions.

Programmes - I deliver my Programmes directly to each Client, on a one-to-one personalised basis. Every coaching programme has a core structure that ensures a purposeful directional outcome, combined with a tailored content & delivery so that I can maximise the impact for every Client. Prices for my packages vary depending on what you need. My fees start from £350.

Further information

I was born in Buckinghamshire and I have lived in West Sussex for the last 40 years. I'm married with four lovely children, three cats and a dog called 'Cosmo'. I have worked full-time in business for over 25 years for a wide variety of different sized companies (from corporates to micro enterprises).

In 2004 (in my spare bedroom armed with nothing but a phone, computer and fax machine) I created a business, which I steadily grew to a top 10 UK agency and I sold the business in 2018. Owning, running and leading a business was rewarding, but was a tough roller coaster experience that had a big impact on my life in many ways.

I acknowledge that I have also made many mistakes along the way in my career and business journey and many things I would have done differently in hindsight. I have been career hungry, stressed, burnt out, commuted for 100's hour a month, worked 85+ hour weeks, lost contact with friends, dreaded that 'Sunday night' feeling of work tomorrow and lost personal focus and genuine purpose in my life.

Over the last three years I have done extensive personal and professional development and have co-written two International Best Selling books and gained a Masters Degree in Business. I also believe in giving back and making a difference with my time, so I volunteer a proportion of my time to others. I feel privileged that I can enable positive change in so many of my Client's lives.

Thank you for reading my profile and I hope our paths may cross one day - Nick
