We’re Ian & Lesley Disley with counselling backgrounds and experienced in working within a Community Mental Health team and managing NHS and Big Lottery funded private practices, now using a ground-breaking approach based on 'mindfulness skills' using the six principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as ACT Trainers and Cognitive Behavioural Coaches in our own Private Family Practice.
Using the principles of ACT, mindfulness and compassionate focussed therapy, we can help you discover how to manage and deal with your issues by providing you with skills to help you:

• Rise above fear, doubt and insecurity
• Cope better with painful thoughts and feelings
• Break self-defeating habits
• Build more satisfying relationships
We provide private and confidential Face to Face talking therapy and we work internationally using Skype, Zoom and Facebook Messenger, using secured telehealth platforms for virtual consultations via video or voice call providing quality and affordable health and wellbeing care online.

Training, qualifications & experience
Ian Disley has been qualified for well over a decade as a qualified Life Coach and is an experienced Mental Health Development Worker and former NHS Employment Specialist, within a Community Mental Health Team, and Practice Manager of an NHS funded Counselling practice.
Ian & Lesley bring with them over 20 years of Training & Development experience working across multiple market sectors, in different roles on government funded contracts and specialising in delivering Life Skills training and Wellbeing Coaching.

What is Acceptance & Commitment Coaching? How we can help?
We offer one-to-one sessions and courses to help with managing stress such as:
- feeling unable to cope
- being irritable or emotional
- feeling low
- not getting on with others
- experiencing difficulties at work
- not sleeping well
- or often feeling uptight and worried
We believe that sessions with an ACT coach can deliver real benefits. Each session can last up to one hour. When working with you we will:
- Talk to you about any difficulties that you are having.
- Help you to understand why you are feeling the way you do.
- Help you to decide what you would like to work on first.
- Introduce you to a number of self-help materials
- Suggest some other supports that may be of use.
- Help you develop an action plan to deal with your difficulties.
We believe that one-to-one sessions can really help especially if you decide that a group course is not best for you due to stress and anxiety.
