Having trained in both coaching, IEMT and NLP, I believe that I have techniques that are invaluable for changing the way we think and react to people and situations. I have also trained in Counselling Skills which I find imperative in all aspects of therapy, and completed a Be your own Hero/Shero course in the USA.
After qualifying 20 years ago as a Counsellor I decided to broaden my knowledge and abilities in other areas, studying NLP techniques, Psychotherapy's Personality Adaptations and IEMT.
I also qualified with the Coaching Academy 2 years ago and have loved how it has changed my life and helped me to change the lives of hundreds of people since then.
I also run my own training courses and have recently started running courses for local health authorities.

I may encourage you to take homework which may be anything from 5 minutes per day to 15 minutes per day. I normally suggest 3-6 sessions.
Sessions can be face to face but I also hold Skype sessions on request.

Exercise's that may help you to find Happiness:
The I AM and I CAN Exercise
This is one of my favourite exercises because I use it every day and I find it so powerful. As I have already stated the words that come after I Am and I CAN are the most important words for your confidence levels.
“I believe therefore I am”
Take each letter of the alphabet A – Z and put a positive statement about yourself after each letter:
I am an Achiever I Can get that promotion
I am Beautiful I Can bake a cake
I am Courageous I Can make a speech
Once you have done this exercise a few times on paper you can do it in your head every time you need a confidence boost. I always do it on the treadmill or cross trainer, whilst I am driving or when I wake up in the morning before I get out of bed. It’s a great way to start a positive day off.
Fake it Until you Make It
So onto being Happy then. I think a good way to start is to fake it until you make it! I am sure that you have heard of this before. It works – and you don’t even have to believe in it you just have to try it for yourself and watch the results. It becomes a game and a joy that everyday things that you hated before you now all of a sudden seem to like and enjoy, even the washing up.
It starts with a smile. Your brain cannot tell the difference between a fake smile and a real smile. Isn’t that great, so even when you are really grumpy if you start to smile your brain thinks ah great we must be happy again now. Yes it actually changes the way our Computers (Brains) think.
When was the last time that you went into a shop and the person behind the counter was really rude, or just miserable - what did you do? Did you take on their mood and be equally miserable with them?? I would say that a lot of you may do just that. Well if they are being horrible to me they don’t deserve for me to give them one of my real (or fake) smiles!! When you walk out of the shop do you carry it on?? you tell your friend in the car OMG she was so horrible in there do you know what she did ?????
How about if the next time that you go into a shop and the person behind the counter is miserable and grumpy you use your very real (or fake) smile and say good morning to her. Ask her how she is and tell her that her jumper is your favourite colour. You smile again as she gives you your change and look her in the eye when you smile and say goodbye. How do you think that would change your and her day? That girl could be going through hell, maybe she has been given some bad news, maybe she has been diagnosed with cancer, maybe her mum if poorly and she is having to look after 2 children and her mother and she can’t cope and that is why she was miserable and grumpy, but you have just changed all that with your smiles, hellos and your kindness.
A word of warning though, find a compliment that is honest and sincere because you don’t want to appear fake.
